Sorry for asking stupid question, but will 'any' 4670 output HDMI and DVI output ports simultaneously i.e. at 1920 x 1080 without problems. I need good a HD card for my HTPC that will play 720p/1080p mkv on both my projector and 24" LCD monitor... Since I'm using spdif on my mobo, I won't be using audio over hdmi.

BTW... what is decent quiet budget 4670 that you guys recommend?

would something like this be good:

or

TIA ;)

They are both identical, and likely made by the same manufacturer (presumably Sapphire).

Purchase whichever once is cheaper for you, and more convinient (MIR, service/support).

Thanks, so I assume using hdmi/dvi at the same should not be a problem ;)

The problem is residing in the 2DVI links for the 3DVI/HDMI outputs on the 5xxx cards. The 4000 series has no such problem (in my experience, which is limited the 4000 series cards only).

can someone plz confirm if these 4670 cards support dual monitor output using hdmi and dvi at the same time:

I've read someone saying that 4670 supports only one digital output at the same time (either hdmi or dvi) and you cannot use both digital outputs at the same time. Basically I want to drive 2 displays at the same time using dvi for one, and hdmi for another.

I don't want to take any chances if I decide to buy 4670 over GT220.... for my HTPC.

BTW... I don't care for gaming nor audio over hdmi

TIA
