I'm looking to purchase a new laptop.
Ideally 15-17" screen.

Two questions:
(1) Is the Dual Core or Core2 Duo better?

(2) Is the LED or LCD screens better?

Any suggestions?

Thnx in advance!!!

FYI for mobile chips "pentium dual core" is a core(1) duo chip.

In both clock speed and cache size: T9600 > P8700 > T6500. The T9600 and P8700 also support hardware virtualization, the T6500 does not.

Obviously the T9600 will be the best performing, because of the 2.8GHz clocl.

However the P8700, being a 25W processor, will get you less heat and longer battery life.

So performance(T9600) vs longer battery life/lower heat(P8700)

Don't get the T6400 unless you're short on money, as it both performs worse than the othe rtwo and sucks more power.
