I just got my exos today and im leak testing it as we speak. When i actually hook it up to my cpu, what should i do in terms of draining the thing so i can re cut the tubing. Anyone have experience with draining it?

hmm, a while back I had read a review on the exos and they had mentioned that there was this strange little window in the bottom of the exos a little circle. They showed a pic of it and it looked like it was right under the res. Maybe thats what it is for, this is a guess. If not I say cyphon it out as best you can, then take the output from the back of the exos and blow through it to remove all of the extra fluid from the lines into the res. Let me know what you end up doing cause my exos will be here Monday :)

that true what foolio said about the cap on the res being at the bottom, for first gen exos anyways. theyve since put the fill/drain plug at the top window to the res, making it easier to fill/bleed.

I drain my Exos in the following manner: 1st, disconnect the quick release valves from the back of the Exos unit. Wrap the valves with a little paper towel before disconnecting to absorb the small amount of leakage. Next, take off one of the quick connect fittings, Place this fitting in a bowl or cup to catch the valuable fluid. Finally, take off the second quick connect fitting. As soon as it is off, the circuit will drain fast. For fluid that does not drain by gravity, just cup your hand around one end of the tubing and blow. That should leave your circuit drained enough to install in the system.
Don’t worry about draining the actual Exos unit, as the valves in back wont leak.

Good luck!

Why are you leak testing it without your waterblocks inline? The whole point of leak testing is to make sure all your hose connections are good. If you cut/drain/attach waterblocks, you'll need to leak test again. Am I missing something?

I'm guessing that we will see another post from him regarding EXOS being a POS and that it hosed his system.
