I just received my new DP35DP and immediately noticed that I can only hook up 2 ide components. I have 2 hard drives plus 2 cd/dvd drives.

Is this correct that I can only use 2 of these components?

That is correct, you can only use 2 IDE drives unless you get a PCI controller card...then you can use a couple more.

Isn't that the board that comes with a floppy disk to install RAID drivers, but doesn't have a floppy connector on the board?

Yes it is-no floppy drive connector.

Here is another question concerning the ide cables. One of the connectors will be used for the DVD-rom player and the other for the hard drive. Does it make any difference which connector goes where? The only way it will work is for the black connector to go to the DVD-rom player and the gray one will connect to the hard drive.
