So another observation. Right now You can get the system with titan fall for 449.99 and I still see people posting on sites like GAF that it still isn't cheap enough or remove Kinect yet with Sony you still can't find a PlayStation camera in stock or for msrp anywhere. Wtf is that about? People will overpay for a inferior camera but bitch about the included Kinect which is far superior? Just fucking baffling.

You get a choice to get the camera or not with one. Most people don't give a single shit about the camera, because it's gimmicky and the voice controls are only found useful by a few.
The kinect is decent for voice but I have the PDP TV mount with the eye cover on at all times.
And ManOfGod, trust me the 360 had a much bigger double standard here when it was the previous gen especially the beginning few years.

I can say that the voice controls from Kinect on the Xbox One are really useful honestly. Microsoft would have had to go right back to the drawing board if they decided to not see the Xbox One without Kinect frankly as it would have made navigation of the OS incredibly frustrating. I get why they included it. However I think Microsoft should have taken the hit and moved the price at least down to $450. $50 sounds much better on paper than $100.
But keep in mind Microsoft has launched in far fewer markets than the PS4. Its doubtful the extra markets will help Microsoft at this point however , at least not enough.
The only chance Microsoft has in catching up in sales is to lower the price of the system and really blow everyone away at E3.
This year's E3 is going to be VERY interesting for once. New systems mean games we'll be playing/talking about for years and years to come. I'm pumped.

Theres a nother demonstration of this on Gaf lately. The other day somebody posted about a company that pays you to at-home beta test games. Everyone there was encoureging every person to honor those NDA's to the letter yet they salivate for leaks from insiders. Can't have it both ways
There is no double standard, the problem is GAF. That place is a Sony camp through and through. Not that it really matters, having a platform preference and acting all silly really shouldn't happen but there is no denying that GAF leans Sony. Nothing wrong with that really, its a worldwide community and Sony has wide appeal world wide. The problem is that it goes unchecked and there is absolutely a double standard on GAF wiith how platform conversations are moderated. Oh and in case anyone is wondering what I'm getting at .. Yes, there is a hive-mind there, despite what EvilLore and his loyal moderators (who will ban you for suggesting a hive mind) say.

One must absolutely fall in line with the beliefs of others, else face the consequences of perma ban. So many people have been banned for simply voicing opinions that the hive doesn't like. Wouldnt Evolution Studios be the ones to blame, not Sony? Also the game is out if you paid for it. They only delayed the free version. But I do agree they shouldnt have pulled this stunt at the last minute.

No its on sony, they publicly said it was a server issue which is Sony problem not the dev
The full game isn't working right either the online is not working that's on Sony and the game didn't even ship with a working weather system. Did I mention that this game was delayed at least three times. And isn't that studio a Sony in house studio? Pretty sure it is.

Good news, you will still get Driveclub for free by waiting a few days!
Plus the game is terrible, I am not convinced holding back the free version wasn't a money grab to get people to buy the $50 version...

Yar, this feels pretty accurate. It feels like MS is busting their balls to get the Xbone improved and appealing, but Sony's been basically sitting on their butts with system updates, etc.
Sure, by all accounts it appears Driveclub is a subpar game, but this mangled launch doesn't show Sony in a particularly good light.
I'm thinking in this case it's less of a double standard against MS/Ubisoft, but moreso because the controversies associated with them currently involve higher profile games (AC: Parity and the Halo collection).

People are shitting all over Sony for the Driveclub problem anyway, have you checked their blog?!? Have you checked the Gamefaqs Boards or NeoGAF? Don't see why people think Sony is getting off easy on this one.
Have not looked at the blog and never look at gamefaqs but the thread on GAF is full of apologists and people that if this was anybody else would lose their fuckin minds.
I guess I wish people would hold Sony's feet to the fire more then maybe they would communicate better.
I had pre-ordered the game but changed my mind a while back and figured id try the ps+ version then buy digital but obviously that didn't happen.
I don't see the halo 2 issue it was originally 640x480 the upgrade is MASSIVE.
The AC thing is overreacting I think a new gen and PC only release with massive open world and active Ai npcs neither console is a absolute powerhouse a balance has to made somewhere I absolutely believe CPU is the issue in AC case not gpu based on what's all going on in game.
Last gen there was all kinds of funky resolutions and it was never this big a deal.

Part of it is probably because both consoles are really a joke compared to their previous counterparts. The 360 and PS3 had amazing capabilities for their launch, really really close to PC capabilites, that didnt happen this time around. They are inferior to PC hardware and cant even push current expectations all the time (1080p\60fps) and its a need to justify oh guess what that shitty console is more shitty than my shitty console mentalty. Gaf has a love affair with sony right now, and one of the companies that should come under more fire around here even is valve. Their support of their biggest current game (dota 2) is disgustingly bad yet still people swear by valve .
I agree but I think that software and developers need to catch up. Hell PC hardware performance increases are less and less. You can still play current games at at least 1080p on hardware that came out years ago.
The only thing the latest PC hardware gives you is higher resolution or multi screen which is cool but consoles don't have to do that.
I think once developers catch up the consoles either one can hit 1080/60 once they catch up.
IMO Sony,nintendo,microsoft all do equally stupid shit all the time but once in a while they get stuff right. This is why I don't just side with one cuz I wanna play everything.
Ok I need to go play something just wanted to vent about this bias crap.

Look at Gaf thread on Sleeping Dogs Definitive edition. The title of the thread says the Xbox One version is poor performing, then if you go on to read the OP it directly states the PS4 version has the same performance issues. Classic

GAF is very pro Sony OP. They love the PS platform due to its JRPGs so it already slants them greatly. The Vita is a big passion over there but its mostly just for its visual novels and JRPGS.
If you want a real double standard check the apologist official Driveclub thread. I've never seen more circle jerking/dick sucking about how the game just needs a little more "time" even after the PS+ version being delayed.. forever and the paid version's online STILL not functional or only on and off. Not to mention the tiny car list and huge AA problems. People were all ready at GAF for Driveclub to blow Forza Horizon 2 out of the water and instead they've just retreated back to the OT thread and created a massive echo chamber.
Its pretty funny actually. If you want a laugh (and take it from me a poor soul who actually bought Driveclub) go check it out but make sure to turn off your bullshit meter.. because it simply can't handle that much at once.
