Okay, well just recently - today actually - I've noticed small red / white and green dots in certain locations of my display, I'm guessing its a Graphics card error. The dots are in games and on my desktop etc. The dots are about the size of a pixel and i'm not sure on how to fix it.

When I restart my computer my Bios is all decolorized or missing color in certain spots, It's not like it screws up performance but I don't think this is a good sign.

If anyone has any info on how to fix this please let me know.

ps: im using a 7900gtko by evga

if the dots stay the same color at the same place, it could be the monitor it self (stuck/dead pixels)

I hate to ask, but have you tried wiping it with a good cloth? Sneezes can end up refracting the light.... =)

Otherwise, try some of the techniques listed in other threads for releasing/trying to fix "dead" pixels on an LCD. You may get decent results!

If you are getting the artifacts in bios as well it could be a faulty video card. You may want to team with your video card manufacture for a possible RMA.

Sounds like your card. It could just need reseating or cleaning of the contacts or, might have to go bye-bye. RMA :D

Another vote for RMA/contact the manufacturer. If it's whacked out in the BIOS, there's a hardware problem somewhere.

It would be eVGA. There's an RMA page on their site, although if you e-mail one of the people directly (ie: Jacob Freeman), you may be able to get a cross-ship done (new card THEN send in 'broken') - paid for both ways.

It's normally not done these days, but seeing as you have a 7900gt, you may/may not have one of the "bad" cards... Which JF still allowed me a 2nd RMA 2-3 months back (LONG after they officially stopped pre-paid cross-ship on the defective cards)..

What your card's model #? (N56x maybe? or N58x?).
