I'll do what I do for all PC games, wait 12-18 months and buy it for 1/2 price (or less)

I'm glad I'm not the only one. It definitely has a Metroid Prime vibe to it.Got it for this price on release day from cdkeys as well... this game is pretty great sort of reminds me of Metroid for the Gamecube for some reason.
Anyone know what kind of video card you need to get decent quality and frame rates? I don't need the absolute best and I'm on a budget. Right now I have an i7 4790k and just using onboard video. I tend to play older games, primarily TF2, which is why I never bought a dedicated GPU. The most taxing game I play is Cities Skylines, and it becomes almost unplayable after awhile. So I'd like something that can handle both. Anything under $200 that will do the trick? I've been out of the market for so long that I don't know what's good anymore.
Indeed, indeed. I forgot that was coming in at only $199. Yes, might be best to wait a month to check for availability on that.I would think a 480 for $199 would make more sense.

Gray market where the keys are often stolen and developer doesn't get anything. Always a chance your steam account could be shut down. Google g2a and kinguin.
Grey market is actually pretty reliable nowadays, but the price differences between them and legit sources also aren't as pronounced anymore ($36 w/ G2A Shield vs $40 shipped from Amazon) There's also the ethical issue regardless of whether Steam is willing to put the banhammer down on people simply looking for a cheaper price.I have been hearing this for 5+ years. I have bought 50+ games from these sites and never had a single issue. Anecdotal I know, but I always sigh when I come into a thread like this and this same message is copied and pasted.
In this day and age if steam or anyone else massively or single banned any account over gray market keys you'd know about it. So many cry babies in this "social media" age that think people really care about their opinion. There would be 10,000 reddit threads and 36,000 facebook pages dedicated to the outrage.Grey market is actually pretty reliable nowadays, but the price differences between them and legit sources also aren't as pronounced anymore ($36 w/ G2A Shield vs $40 shipped from Amazon) There's also the ethical issue regardless of whether Steam is willing to put the banhammer down on people simply looking for a cheaper price.
Worst that can happen is getting the key revoked or having to do a chargeback/dispute if its DOA, yeah.In this day and age if steam or anyone else massively or single banned any account over gray market keys you'd know about it. Sure if the price is no different, then go with a non gray market source. But when I was getting a game for half price vs current "sales" on other other sites, I took the chance.

The platforming sections and UI design, as well. The story being told through the codex, not getting in the way of the gameplay, was also a big part of the Metroid Prime series (at least until MP3).I think its all the hidden secrets and abilities that are added to your suit.

Those keys were stolen, though. As was noted in post #25, grey market keys (from other regions) are fine, as far as I'm aware. If anyone can find evidence of those keys being revoked (or Steam accounts otherwise affected) I would certainly like to hear about it. I don't typically buy from grey market sites but I have a couple of times when the savings was substantial.
Oh without a doubt. If I see a sale on CDKeys.com or some other quasi-legit site, I'm in. Mad Max for $13, and some others, were all worth the risk. I just have that little nagging in the back of my head from the Sniper Elite fiasco, but I'm pushing the "Buy" button, nonetheless.the issue is how would you even know where the keys you bought are coming from...it could be other regions or it could be stolen...people buy them simply because they are cheaper
Same for me. Felt a lot like Quake 3 Arena, which I also thought was pretty disappointing. I might pick up Doom in a year if the price is way down.just played the demo, meh.

Some people here are scared of their own shadow. There are entire communities devoted to grey market keys.

Want to believe the guys who are confused as hell by the process? Fine by me. Pay $60 on release, I'll spend $35 day 1 and use the rest on a nice dinner.
Just as accessible as these two sources eh? Troll elsewhere.there are entire communities devoted to men having sex with underage boys?...what's your point??

Same people who think if you masturbate you dick will fall off. Let me guess, these people from Utah? You heard it here folks!
Buying steam keys from a reseller is the same as being part of an online pedophelia ring!
Threads over, guys

I am living proof that that is total bulsh....
I mean... how interesting!
My eyesight is pretty terrible, though....
I'm not buying from a grey market seller even if it costs $1...there's no such thing as quasi-legit or somewhat legit...if I'm really hard up for cash I simply won't buy the game or will wait for a Steam sale...I do like that Nvidia/AMD bundles a lot of popular games with their GPU's nowadays so I'm able to snag a code for cheap that way (people selling their codes online in forums like [H])
I want to play Doom but am not interested in paying $60 or even $40...
in for one. hope this is as good as everyone says it is
sweet jesus i hope this is bait.Same for me. Felt a lot like Quake 3 Arena, which I also thought was pretty disappointing. I might pick up Doom in a year if the price is way down.
The first level is not at all representative of how good the game gets. It ramps up significantly.Played the demo is that really the entire first level bc it seemed short and nothing too exciting, decent that's all.
