I've been working on replacing the stock CPU Fan and Trying to Install the CoolerMaster V6 GT.

I've been having trouble with the screws going in with the brackets..I wonder if they are the wrong size because the slide in too easy and just slide out. or am i missing a step somewhere :confused:

hope this is the right place to post this.
 
Are you revamping System 1 -- the one that you've listed in your sig -- or System 2 -- the "WIP"?
 
this is for System 1 my old one

I have not started with System 2 yet I do have the Case but it will be a bit before i get all the parts.
 
OK, besides the V6 upgrade, what does the rest of this system revamp look like?
 
I'm lost about what your asking? I'm just upgrading parts...I haven't ordered a New Graphics card yet.right now i'm just trying to get this project done before i move on to anything else.

I'm calling it a revamp because its out with some old stuff in with the New...thus the CPU fan upgrade as a start.

What I'm asking is: What else are you upgrading?
 
I think you're missing a step somewhere. Go back and read the directions carefully.
 
IIRC, you push the screws through the holes then put a nut on them to secure them into place. Test fit the screw and nut before you assemble the pieces, to ensure they are the correct size for each other.

yea the directions aren't very detailed about this step.@Skillz thanks i'll try it.
