Does Windows 7 XP Mode support SCSI?

I switched from using Windows XP 32 bit to Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.
I have a couple of old good legal size Agfa Scanners I like (Agfa StudioStar & Arcus II).
To make them work in Windows 7 I bought a new Adaptec SCSI card AHA-2930LP, wich has drivers for W7 64 bit as well as for WXP.
Trouble is that my old good & fast Agfa software Fotolook 3.6 does not install in Windows 7 64 bit (it was built for Windows 98 and worked fine in Windows XP). I made both scanners working in W7 with a third party VueScan software, but VueScan does not integrate into my favorite filing system software the Scansoft's or now Nuance's PaperPort 12 neither the OCR program OmniPage 17. That way, going through Vuescan interface each my scan takes about 5 times longer. It just got deadly slow.
The solution would be to use the original software in the Windows XP Mode. Unfortunatelly, there is a trouble with the installation of the driver for my 2930LP SCSI card in XP Mode. Driver installs through Add New Hardware, but it does not install properly. It does not install automatically (it should, because WXP should have a driver for my SCSI card, Adaptec support sais), but I can install it by adding it to the "SCSI and RAID Controllers" or by choosing "Show all devices". The second way I get the list of manufacturers, where I can choose Adaptec & my card is listed. I am getting my card listed in the Device Manager with a yellow exclamation point and it shows in Device Status: Code 10, This device cannot start.
Would anybody know, if Windows 7 XP Mode virtual machine supports SCSI?
I spent 2 hrs with MS Support & failed to get an answer. Then I called Adaptec Tech. Support & they do not know neither.

The virtual copy of Windows XP is running on virtual hardware, it does not have driver level access to the physical SCSI card. If you look in device manager of Windows XP mode, the only item that will match your actual physical hardware is the CPU type, and it can only see one core if you have more than one core.

The only physical hardware Windows XP mode VM can have access to is USB attached devices. Those can be passed through to the VM by Windows Virtual PC.

I managed to get a Cardbus based serial port adapter working too in XP Mode. It was painful as hell to go through all the work to do it, but I managed to do it.

I limited my answer to items MS would support if you called for assistance.
