Does This Exist? Small IPS/Matte Display

I have limited desk space so I'd prefer a smaller monitor - ideally around 17-19".

I can't find any that have an IPS panel and matte display. Prefer no PWM. Hoping this exists but...

if this doesn't exist in the 17ish range, what's the smallest monitor that does?

Looking to spend less than $250. I'm in front of my monitor all day for reading/writing work. The matte is the highest priority because glossy strains my eyes. No gaming, occasional videos.

Thanks guys. I'm a complete newb at this stuff so your thoughts are really appreciated!

EDIT: After reading up on panels perhaps a VA panel makes more sense for reading/writing and my price range.

Not really unfortunately. The rule seems to be if you want high quality, you also want large so high end small monitors have gone away.

The closest stuff I can think of would be the Dell 2007FP, if you can find it for a good price (check Amazon). 20" 4:3 IPS monitor so it takes up less horizontal space than the new wider monitors and it has a nice matte coating, and good image quality. The NEC EA191M-BK is a 19" square VA panel; monitor that might meet your needs, and is easier to find for a lower price than the Dell.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Both are out of my price range though. I'm going to make a new thread with a bit more detail.

Does it have to be widescreen? Dell has a bunch of 17" Ultrasharps that are *VA according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dell_monitors

Just exactly how much room do you have? Consider getting a monitor arm to free up some room on the desktop.

They have 25ms response time, which would probably be noticeable.

After doing some reading I created a new thread with more detail on what I'm looking for:

Thanks again.
