Does thermal paste expire?

I was just wondering if thermal paste expires I have a tube of as ceramic that I used 3 years ago, I still have a bunch left. Does it expire?
 
I don't think it will "expire", but they can separate if it sits in a stationary spot for a long amount of time.

Yep, and if it does look "runny" or "too solid" pull the plunger, carefully, out of the back of the syringe and give it a good stir with a clean toothpick, and even more carefully put the plunger back.
