Does such a case exist?

I am looking for a case similar to the Lian Li V-series, but without the upsideown motherboard setup. Also... I am not a fan of the rounded off edges and such of the V-Series... I just want the internals with the mobo over the PSU and hard drives. Works well for watercooling. Also, a window and aluminum are a must. Removable mobo tray is a nice touch also. Makes getting a mobo in and out around a bunch of waterblocks much easier.

Does such a case exist?

the aerocool masstige has almost everyhting you want except its not aluminum, it is light tho, and it has no removable mobo tray. When i watercooled mine it was a breeze. Put a 120.2 rad up front and the pump on the bottom. Left me w/lots of room and kept everything cool and clean.

the aluminum I really want. I love the brushed aluminum that lian li has. Only other manufactured I can find that uses it is Silverstone, but they dont have any cases that apeal to me. A few Lian-Li cases come close to what I want, but they all are missing some key component.

Kid8: Looks like one of those tubes is bending your video card a tad. : /

o i forgot it was upside down...sorry for the brain fart....and yea the card just got wieghed down by the waterblock....it needs a card saver thing for it.

Suddenly, all cases with the entire front made so they are 5.25's are a stacker rip-off.

It's a great case.

OP: Try the Lian Li V1100. It's just like the V1000 that you despise, except without rounded corners. Also, try the older Coolermaster ATCs cases, or the Silverstone cases now.

What about this case?

That case I do not like, but there are two similar ones I do like. The PC201B and PC-73SLB I both like.... but neither have a windowed side panel. Same goes for the V2100 Plus II. If it came down to it, I would rather get something with no front door and rounded edges (v2000) so I could have the window.

That case is lovely, but damn, $180 and it doesn't even come with a PSU?

lol... I wouldnt want it to come with a PSU. Case PSU's are always shit. My PSU is quite nice. The case I am looking to buy is $288, and no PSU :D

I take it you're not willing to cut a window yourself?

Go to performance-pcs.com

They have some cases that have windows, where their are normally no windows for it.

TJ-07 :)

Love the case. Stacker would be great too, but contains steel.

Most of the existing Lian Li's have windowed panels readily available. You could always ask Performance-PC's to add one to something that lacks.

If you don't mind all 5.25" bays, the Lian Li PC-767 could work.

Check out all the the offered options for mods (lots of them too).

Here's the same with a window already installed (and it has all of the options for the other one): http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193&products_id=3529

If none of the above suit you, you could find a Pro Modder to have one built, but that will be expensive. Try www.mnpctech.com (I was quoted at over 2 grand for a case that was essentially 2 Coolermaster ATC 201B's combined side by side with a lot of fabricated parts - MNPCTech reccomened that I really look into DIY'ing it or that I see if a place like e-machineshop.com would be able to build something similar for less. I eventually found an old slanted front Enermax case with dual 60's in the back and a single 80 in front. I'm in the process of modding it to fit my water cooling and everything else I want to stuff in it.

THis is the one: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=115&products_id=614

I am a firm believer in the stock case CPU. The one that came free with my $40 Cheiftec Dragon from a computer show a while ago served me well for 3 years before the fan on it died. Ended up picking up some no-name unit from a random computer shop to replace it, still rated at 550 watts for $30 isn't bad, and it gets the job done. I think most people make way too much a deal about the PSU.

I know this is going OT, but it seems the same way in my experience. I used the no-name that came with my full tower Inwin something 500 for the entire time I had my P3/K7 system: went from a P3 450 up to a 1.3 AMD T Bird with it. I did upgrade the PSU to a Turbocool 300 and didn't like it cause it was too loud and went back to the no-name.

I know the PSU is important, but maybe I'm just lucky nothing has fried due to my PSU (I'm at fault for the only thing that I have fried - I wired a cable wrong while I was watching TV and sleeving it - bad move :( ).

Right now I'm using a Hiper R-Type and a lot of people complain they suck. It's doing great for me

Sorry, but look at the case, the front design is pratically identical (all mesh). beveled sides on the front. slopped top

the internal drive holder looks preatically identical, down to every hole in it.

the what looks like support for dual PSU's ?

the only original thing it is it eh 2 harddrive placement over the psu.

The silverstone TJ07 fits most of your criteria...Aluminum, removable tray, not upside down.
It is very expensive though.

http://www.directron.com/sisuflsfqual.html thats a very nice case, although its smaller than what your looking for its very much like a lian li in look and in quality, i have a black one and i love it. the price has also come down quite a bit since i got it. i fit my whole WCing setup inside it except the rad which i have on top.

Thats basically what I have now. As you can see... its a tight squeeze...

Plus, I'd like to move to a 3x120mm rad. Bottem line is, I have settled on a V2000, and have started sketching up all kinds of plans. I am a little broke right now, and have Cornerstone (music festival) to worry about, but after 4th of July week, I am gunna move forward on it. If it comes out half as good as it is in my mind, its going to be quite nice.
