Does adding more water help stablize temps?

This is a food for thought thread:

Can 1 pint of water circulating in your loop (usually found in some T loops) help increase temps no matter how well you rad cools it?
VS
Can 5 gallons of water circulating in your loop help decrease temps no matter how well you rad cools it?

For the sake of information lets assume this is a hot summer day, it's 90F outside and in your computer room ambient temps are 30C. For most that 5C-7C higher then normal when window fans, A/C is used.

The point I am trying to get to here is:
Can having more water make it harder for it to get hotter quicker when other factors affect it's temps then just the CPU/GPU/Chipset?
For example:
Water that's consistently in a loop going from pump>rad>CPU>GPU>back through the loop again.
vs
Water that exist the loop into a larger pool of cool, un-circulated water to be used. I'm not talking about 3 liters, more like 2 gallons. From pump >rad>CPU>GPU> dumped in 2 gallons of unused water.

What are your thoughts on this?

some crackhead who doesnt realize that they could invest 50 bucks into an extra radiator and fan to add the the circuit...:D

Come one was that necessary? Crackheads don't want water ;)
Besides why buy another rad when 1 gallon of distilled water is less then $0.50 at most grocery stores :p

Side note to what you posted:
I wouldn't put water in my circuit unless you have a death wish :D :p
 
Temperatures will eventually equalize... just slower. Unless your reservoir has a large amount of surface area.

A huge res would make temperature changes happen more slowly, but it wouldn't meaningfully decrease the temperature your PC would eventually reach under load.

A second rad would be flat out better.

If you didn't run your PC for very long at a stretch, you could probably manage with just a huge res and no rad. :)

What kind of 'stabilization' are you trying to achive? WC systems will naturally tend to be pretty damn stable compared to air cooling.

You pretty much explained it. More water doesn't mean lower temps but it would take longer for temps to rise.
