Do you think this is better

So I have a fan on the side of my case for air to go out.

What if I make another hole by it and mount my radiator on the holes. then create a shroud to completely cover the the radiator and mount two fans on the shroud. All air will go through radiator and out of the case. Would this be a better way to cool the case/radiator since it will not just recycle the hot air inside but get rid of it?

Sounds messy. My friends keep tempting me to take a 55 gallon aquarium and use it for a reservoir. Who needs fans when you have 55 gallons of thermal capacity.

Wow that would be crazy, but if you ever do it please send some pictures my way.

I do not know what you mean by messy? You would not be able to see anything and I think the process would actually be pretty easy.

It just sounds like it would give me better cooling and I wanted to see if others thought it would too.

Keep in mind you will be blowing warm case air through the rad. Not the best soltuion. If this is the left side of the case it will be a pain when taking it off to get to the rest of the computer internals. Side mounted fans are usually intended to blow inwards, upper ones to feed cool air directly to the cpu and lower ones to feed cool air to the video card so while I have to kinda guess not having a picture of your case, alarm bells are ringing.

Its not a bad idea, just need to think carefully about how you are going to do it so you get the best cooling out of it.

THIS. not a good idea imo for this reason alone. how do you expect to run hoses and fan cables to the side and then put the panel back on? i have a problem getting my case back together with one jerry rigged fan on the side panel. i cant even imagine with 2 huge (and not especially flexible) tubes on it, plus a heavy radiator, plus a bulky rad+shroud+fans, plus fans and their wires. this all just screams huge nightmare to me.
