Do I need more VDD, or is this a memory problem?

Ok, my RAM is sitting tight at 2.5-3-3-11 @ 225MHz Dual Channel right now. If I increase to say, 235MHz, I can't get it stable no matter what, even 3-4-4-11, in Dual Channel. Won't even boot Windows.

Now, however, if I change it to single channel, I can run up to 245MHz and it will boot and pass at least one round of 3DMark2001. However, the loss of dual channel plus the slackened timings means the speed increase is almost negligible.

Is the problem here the 1.7vdd cap on the NF7-S, or is my RAM just not up to Dual Channel at high FSB?

you get a better overclock with single channel almost every time... its a trade off memory bandwith...few more mhtz on fsb...
