I am going to be building a new comp.
2x Xeon X5550s
24GB DDR3
4x GTX275s

I have the Corsair HX1000 will that be enough or will I need to buy another PSU for the Video cards?

I don't think that will be enough to power that system, especially the 4 video cards.

Since those cards will be running at full power due to F@H and the fact that each card will take up 219W of power, that's 876W of power dedicated to the video cards alone. Two X5550s at full power is 190W by itself. then you have to factor in the mobo, HDD, fans, etc.

Could the case you're using fit two regular ATX PSUs? If it can, I say keep the Corsair for the video cards and use the cheapest but quality PSU you can find that'll work with your motherboard. Speaking of which, what motherboard are you planning to use?

A GTX275 will consume 140-150W when folding at stock speeds. Factoring in 130W per CPU, you'd definitely be better off adding a second ~500W or so PSU.
