External power cables and who knows what's attached to that blue metal thingey over the chair. It's probably hooked to the ceiling somehow so it doesn't fall over. Skribbels everywhere are not impressed by slow waking device and eagerly look forward to the DARPA robot of doom with glowy lights all over it that can at least go up and down stairs or run even if you can't ride on it.
