Hey, so heres the issue,

Whenever I play a video game, after about 15 minutes it freezes up and I get bluescreened, and it said that a crucial thread in windows had stopped and memory is dumping and blah blah blah. My hard drive just started doing this and now it won't even start windows. It just says disk read error before the windows loading screen even comes up.

I was thinking of booting from the windows cd and doing a repair, and if that didn't work I would reformat. Does this sound like the right thing to do?

Thanks in advance.

I think you should run Orthos for some stability tests first. Perhaps then try rthdribl (or even ATITool) for some video card stability testing. Keep an eye on temps.
