I have the Surface go 8GB version w 128 nvme ssd and a sandisk 400 micro sd card. I also have a mini 7 port hub that plugs into the c port. I can read my external 2TB Samsung QVO ssd with no problem but have to plug in an external usb c power adaptor to write without issues. If i disable the realtek ethernet and the HDMI port on the hub would it give me more power to the ssd?

no it will not give you extra power, but I'm wondering if it might reduce the total power consumption.

Isn't that the same thing? if i reduce power consumption would not that allow the ssd to draw more power

you can buy a splitter that will allow you to connect a charger and USB device to the machine.
