DigiTimes, citing sources at Taiwanese graphics card manufacturers, says DirectX 10 capable video cards from both ATi and NVIDIA will ship in 2Q of this year.

With Nvidia's Vista driver finally available, the graphics chip maker is expected to roll out its mainsteam and low-end DirectX 10-capable chips, the G80 and G84, in the second quarter of 2007. Meanwhile AMD is also set to release its own DirectX 10-capable GPU series, which includes the R600, R610 and R630, around the same time.

DX10 video cards from Nvidia is already out...

Reread the statement. It's about mid and low end cards ;)

Not what the title nor the comment indicates ;) Article does mention mainstream and low end, however the title didn't sound the same way.

The latest Driver from Nvidia upped my OpenGL performance big time. I think they are getting very close to having a solid Vista driver. They do need to work on the control panel a little more but that is my main problem at this point.

Still seeing a lot of people having problems with Vista and the 8800 cards, maybe they should be concentrating on getting their high end cards to work right before they worry about mid and low end versions.

Yeah, there are a ton of problems with the vista nvidia drivers, especially the SLI users.

If you actually read the comments, it does indicate "Main stream and low end".

i think the biggest crowd this applies to (including myself) is a freakin htpc card that is hdcp certified that does not take up 2 pci spots.

we are all waiting for a hdcp card that can do some basic gaming and do 1080p resolutions.. oh and is silent/fanless that isnt 250-300$.

Good luck with that. By the time that dream card comes around it will be bloated with DRM. :(

nVidia Vista drivers finally ready??? Where? I can't find then...

Every time I switch on SLI something funny happens...
