My temps (core temp) seem to be a bit high. Mid to high 40's while idling. See sig for info on rig.
I have all the temp probes places from my digidoc but something's wrong and it's only showing OFF as my temp. Any good alternatives out there that won't require a change of probes? I'd like to confirm these temps...if they are right, I've got issues.
 
not sure how many the digidoc has but the zalman can take 4 temp probes and 4 fans (3x 3 pin 1x 4 pin). I'm quite happy with mine.
 
post info please. I don't think I'll need more than that. (maybe 1 more probe, but honestly, not really.
 
If Realtemp and/or Coretemp set with the proper Tjmax of 100C for your cpu is reporting 40C core temp at idle you can pretty much beleive it. Realtemp even has a method to check for a stuck DTS.

I agree that even with that smaller rad, 40C seems high unless you are highly OCed with a lot of Vcore added and/or the rad is using internal case air as its intake.

But to your actual question, here are two good quality ones. One is on sale and of course other places sell them. I would check the manuf web site for more info on how much current each fan channel was rated for, warranty etc. before making up my mind. One of the two is the Zalman mentioned above.

Thanks for the input. I've been doing some research and I'm liking the zalman (if I go 1 bay) or the aerocool dual 5.25 slot controllers (on Xoxide).

And as far as my temps go, I'm on stock clock and vc of 1.18
