Diffuser for LED strips?

Has anyone ever made a diffuser for LED strips? I've got one installed in my case so that it's illuminating my reservoir (gotta see that beautiful Primochill Vue coolant!), but the little pinpoint LEDs are glaring off the glass tube something awful. I'm thinking a strip of opaque plastic would do the trick. Any crafty modders fixed this problem before and have a suggestion?

Polypropylene sheets from craft supplies works well.
- This is what those A4 display folders are made of. In a pinch you can grab one from your local office supply and use the outer covers which are made from the same material.

Polycarbonate sheets work as well and are relatively cheap (cheaper if you buy a bigger sheet from a hardware store like Lowes/Home Depot) can easily be cut and shaped and make a great defuser for LED's. You can lightly sand them with fine grit sandpaper (400+) to get a nice hazyness that defuses very well. You can even sand them, mask off an area and paint with regular spray paint if you need to help them blend in to the case.
