different brand 6870s for CF?

i would like to buy a sapphire 6870 and a powercolor 6870...will they play nicely together in CF or will i just waste money? thanks
 
Yes that will work. Why are you buying different brands in the first place though?

Yes they will, and I'm guessing he's buying 2 sep brands cause with MIR's its cheaper overall than buying 2 of the same mfg. That stupid limit 1 rebate per household per item garbage

Could very well be that the card he has is discontinued, I have a Diamond 6870 and Newegg and amazon are out of stock on it right now.
 
Nah it's obvious if he already owns one card, but the way the original post is worded it doesn't sound like he does - the rebate issue raised above is probably the reason.
