Did ppd/GHz get a boost?

Last month, I installed Ubuntu on my main machine at home, and because of some preceeding stability issues, I didn't (yet!) install FAH. And because of my current work assignment I haven't been able to fold on my work machine as well. Since I've never had a real large number of machines folding for me, the loss of these two should have made a big impact on my ppd average. I was struggling to get 500ppd before.

Now, I hadn't checked my stats in several months until a few days ago. And now I noticed that even without these two machines, I'm averaging somewhere very close to what I was producing before. Which is very odd, considering that I *know* I had everything configured properly.

So has there been a boost in the ppd/GHz that Stanford has been handing out?
 
there's a few new packets out on the non-smp side (2416 and 2427 come to mind) that are worth 500 points a pop, and finish in just about 2 days for me on my A64 3500...I've also been getting them routinely on my C2D part timer and my Athlon XP rig....right there I got a pretty decent PPD boost over the old packets i was getting that were in the 200-300 point range per WU

 
I've seen some DGromacs out lately and I have an AthlonXP chewing on one now. They give a much better PPD than the normal gromacs. If you have been getting them, that might account for the non-decrease in your PPD.

The AlthlonXP@1.65Ghz will put out about 90PPD on them instead of the normal 66-68 with regular Gromacs. My P4 2.8 at work will do somewhere between 16-180PPD I think on the DGromacs while only doing about 100PPD on the regular gromacs.

I've also seen some amber core WUs every once in a while also, and I generally get better PPD out of them as well.

 
I've had a couple pretty big days lately....well, big for me anyhow, and I was a little curious about this as well.... good to know.

 
my dads PC is crunching away on a 682 pointer (2611) right now and getting 246PPD....while mine is still crunchin on the same one to get 500 (2416) (dads went through 1 WU already) and getting 65 PPD

So in total im getting 311PPD with only 2 computers....one 2.8C and one X2 3800 @ 2.2...not bad lol (i hope not lol)

Nope... I'm averaging around 475ppd with 2 P4 3g Northwoods right now... so I suppose that's about right...

I hope so because that would be healthy for the borg'd lab... Err... when they come back online Monday though...
