did i loose all my data?

So today i reinstalled my windows 7 on an ssd,i have a second drive wd 640gb for storage. After installation was completed,windows failed to see my other hdd, this is not the first time it happened after a fresh install. Last time i had to load some partition program and give a letter to my drive and all was ok. The problem now is easues partition tells me 595 gb unlocated space / 595 gb free space. Does this mean i lost all my data? Last time it told me i had like 500 used,meaning my data was still there,but now it tells me free space,just like an empty hdd...what can i do next?the only option available is create partition, and i also have an option recover partition in easues partition. If i did lost all my data can someone recomend some good software to recover my data?

Are you sure you don't just need to add it in Computer Management? Right Click My Computer and selected Manage > Storage > Disk Management. Look at your list of drives there and see if the drive is there.
 
Yes the drive is there,just the partition got screwed up. I had this problem before,but partition programs would tell me the hdd had used space,meaning data was still there,but now it says 600gb unlocated / 600 gb free space. I will try your sugestions later when i get home,i"m at work atm... Tks for the replys :)
 
There is also GetDataBack which probably is more user friendly for a windows user however I believe it is read only until you pay for the software while TestDisk is free.
 
I use Kernel for Windows Data Recovery. It's gotten me out of a couple jams with customer systems. It's read only as well....around $50 for the full version.
 
well i tryed some programs and i managed to recover some of my data but not what i needed the most. First i tryed testDisk,i scaned my hdd and it found some partition,i fallowed the steps on the site and after some time it told me to reboot.I did so and after it showed me 300 used space and 300 free.Partition was still unavailable so i procedeed to recover some files.Than i went ahead and tryed it with active undelete and same thing.It recovers the same files,i had about 550gb used space ,and it shows me around 300 now,somehow a lot of thigs are still missing.Atm scaning with Kernel also,but i have a feeling i will get same result.There was a folder i just can't seem to find anymore,recovery programs can't find it....
tks all for the help and recomendations,i will keep trying.Still havent done anything else to the partition,and all the files i recovered i put on my ssd.The drive is still unaccesible,still shows me 300 unlocated space and 300 used.
 
Just a tip, NEVER install w7 with any other drives attached.

I have no idea why you're having soo many problems with a simple situation but I would suggest putting the storage drive in an external USB/eSATA enclosure and go from there.
