Diablo III Open Beta Weekend

Saw on SD earlier and currently downloading now, speed is around 350-500KB/s so it ain't that bad. Can't wait to try it out :D

download appears to be around 3.8 gigs. however you can start playing after you've downloaded the first 970mb chunk. downloading now at 1mb/s. could be faster :)
 
quick question, if i do the pre purchase, does that mean i download the game and its unlocked on the release date? and not wait for it to download? i just cant imagine being able to play the release day when everyone is trying to download at the same time
 
download is complete but it seems the beta starts at 9:01 PM CEST...arrrrgh blizzard, Y U MAKE ME WAIT another 6.5 hours?
 
I'm really glad they did this. Its an opportunity for the fence-sitters like myself to try out the game before deciding.
 
I am sooo downloading! I was supposed to run through Witcher 2 EE this weekend, but I guess it can wait a bit longer... :)
 
Might want to not over-excite yourself. It's the tutorial/intro, and it's on 'kill-me-easy'.

Don't judge the game based on the Beta. Please.

Are you referring to this open beta for us non-beta testers, or the entire beta test all these while?

Agreed. Instead, judge it by the $1+ 'transaction fees' every time somebody uses the in-game RMT auction house.

Unless something's eluded me, it looks like it's the same thing I tested during closed beta. The first part of the first act. Or?
 
I Played it Allthough Im realy want to see what they come up with and How they fix some stuff thhat REALY need to be fixed. I can tellyou if you dont want to play thei give PATH OF EXILE a shot Its free and Boy its cool. a Cross of DIablo /Titan Quest/ and the Skill tree from Final Fant. X !!! plus its a MMo and u can play it by your self. :)

It'll take you 2-3 hours, TOPS, to beat it. That's with friends, and that's going as slow as possible (no point).
 
Don't go into it expecting it to fill up your weekend because you will be disappointed.

That being said it is still fun and I think it's a good idea to let everyone who has been waiting play it. Just remember that it is the first ~2 hours up to level 13 and it stops when it really starts getting good.
 
It's meant to be a VERY small sample of a much bigger game. Take it for what it is. Most of what's happened so far, in terms of critiques are: "IT'S SHORT" or "WOW THIS IS EASY". It's a beta. It's the tutorial. It's easy.

People need to stop dropping their kids at birth.
 
Despite it just being the first act, which makes sense for free gameplay, it is DL now. I already preordered, so come on the 15th of may. :p
 
Really pumped to try this out never played the first one can't wait to try out the demo

It's always been my understanding that the beta is just part of Act 1. It's not the whole first act.
