Diablo 3?

I still think that incorporating the World of Warcraft type of Gameplay into the Diablo world would be really cool. I know there really isn't much differant between World of Warcraft and Diablo. But I am sure it could be done successfully. Maybe even have an Expansion for WoW that is based on Diablo would probably be best for this. But a more traditional Diablo game needs to be releasd also.
 
Diablo 3 needs to be a top down style view just like D2 but with really nice graphics. I definately hope that they do not stray far from classic diablo gameplay with 3.
 
there's no reason for blizzard to even think about diablo3 yet. they're working on a new patch which will keep the diehard diablo fans busy, but then they have WoW still and not even the first expansion. wow is similar to diablo except that it generates revenue monthly. they would not release a game to compete w/ its cashcow.
 
This is old. I read in PC gamer magazine YEARS ago that the diablo team is working on an "unknown" project. don't get worked up cause this is nothing new.

Agreed. It should NOT be a redressed WoW. WoW is cool and I love it, but WoW does not make Diablo.

Even a Diablo MMO would be cool if it were top down IMO.

there really hasent been anything except wow released recently. were about due for a surprised D3 or SC2. Right freekin now too!
 
A Diablo 3 MMORPG style would blow me away. I used to love Diablo 1 and 2. Would be really neat to play a D3 with a WoW style.
 
The russian Orchestra that was used for Diablo 1 and 2 has (reportedly) already been hired by Blizzard and had recorded music.

Thos orchestra was ONLY used in the Diablo games, so I guess they are working on Diablo 3

Hopefully t's VERY good graphics, but with that overhead view (as well as the Click-to-move system)

Nope that is Flagship Studios, which was formed two years ago by a group of former Blizzard North employees.
 
Where in the context of that article did ANYONE get anything on Diablo 3? I don't see it.

The words "Diablo" and "3" NEVER appear anywhere in that article. This just shows how far are willing to stretch rumors into truth when they want something.

All the Diablo devs are GONE from Blizzard. Blizzard has a number of other incomplete projects going on right now. While Diablo 3 is certainly something I'd like to see, lets be realistic. Theres far more evidence pointing to the fact that its not going to happen than the contrary.
 
i'm betting that blizzard will officialy announce a new game, D3 or SC2, at blizzcon.
 
Daiblo 3 = Dungeon Siege 2 and that is as close as we are going to get for now.

I think StarCraft 2 is a more realistic expectation. Don't hold your breath on Diablo 3.

That is a very very good possibility. If not one of those two, they are going to announce something. With ticket prices over $100, most journos are expecting this exact thing to happen.
 
I hope it is StarCraft 2 instead of Diablo 3. All other series, warcraft and diablo have at least 2 incarnations. Starcraft is due up, and I hope StarCraft ghost doesn't count as the next starcraft.

What a stupid game. A lame console FPS is all it will amount to, if it's even released that is.

They're just wasting time they could be spending on Diablo 3 or Starcraft 2.

Blizzard has Warcraft - RTS and now MMORPG
Diablo - RPG
Starcraft - RTS


They don't need to make any other games. They could sell sequals of these three games indefinately as long as they keep improving on them.
 
I'll say it again. Blizzard IS working on Diablo 3. Back when Bill Roper and others split, he mentioned that they were already working on it and that he wasn't worried about the game getting ruined since some of the staff from the Diablo 2 game was leaving with him.
 
He said that even though him and other people that worked on Diablo 2 he wasn't worried about Diablo 3 turning out bad.
 
They are in fact working on Diablo 3, if any body here reads PC Gamer magazine look back 2 or 3 issues there is a small article, about a paragraph or 2 stating that Blizzard is definately working on Diablo 3 and that it is not a rumor. We wont start seeing any major info until around christmas and I dont think the game will be out until the christmas after that.
 
Starcraft was blizzards worst game, they should just make ghost (which looks great) and end starcraft

Take it with a grain of salt. To the people who say Blizzard would never do that because it might hurt WoW... There are still a ton of people playing Diablo 2 that don't care about WoW. The market is big enough for both of them and Blizzard would have to be smoking some serious dope in not wanting to make Diablo 3 which would be a mega golden cow for them.

Not to be an argumentative internet nerd, but if the "word" isn't coming from a current employee or authorized representative then by definition it cannot be official.

Plenty of rumours, speculation, and innuendo - no official word.

I really dont care if you think it's BS. I am just telling you what I read. Trust me I have much better things to do with my time thant to make up BS for a bunch of people I dont know but I do know my games and I know the differance between Hellgate a Diablo like FPS from Flagship studios and Diablo 3 from Blizzard. Maybe you should go back through your old mags. Look in the first half of the mag on the bottom of the page. I am at work right now or I would find it my self. I do think it is in the same issue with the hellgate cover but I am not positive.

Yes, yes, yes. SC had a nice scale to it, I want a followup, I want more story, and I want a good, polished, fun, new RTS, just for once.
(And for the love of all things RTS-ish, let me pull the camera further out than in WC3.)

I just don't remember the article mentioning D3 in terms of development. Hell, I'm wrong all the time so don't let me get your panties in a bunch.

whats sad is if dungeon siege had a secured server like blizzard with diablo series they would of sold millions of copies of it. Bottom line is dungeon siege has a total crap multiplayer.
