DFI nF4 SLI-DR "Expert" Availability

Well supposedly they arrived today and they got 10. According to someone on Xtremesystems they only have like 4. Mine was one of the 6 already gone supposedly. I emailed them and they said it should ship out tomorrow. So if and when I get it, I will post pictures and stuff.

do you have an xp120? I really would like to know if thatll fit in it w/ the pcie cards.
 
This has more room between the PCIe allowing for aftermarket cooling to fit (just like the A8N-SLI boards, while the regular DFI SLI boards dont have as much room)
Also they said it overclocks better than the other ones.
 
I ordered one, but ended up canceling the order because service could not work through my shipping/credit card issues. I figured I would rather wait for Newegg to get the product in stock than have to deal with a reseller that yells at customers.
 
So all the mobos that say 2x16 pci-express it really means that they are both x8 slots and together they make x16?

"All" is a big generalization ;). Most of the 2x16SLI boards are going to say something like 32x SLI or something like that. Most SLI boards are 2x8 in SLI mode and 1x16 with one video card.
 
I cancelled my order. They wont be able to ship me a board until mid November. Newegg will probably have them by that time at a greatly reduced price.
 
Bytewise supposedly has two left in stock as of this post but their shipping is either $34 dollars for 11 days or $120ish for 6 days!!! That is too freakin steep for me. Was going to cancel my preorder from NCIX until I was the shipping. They are price gouging on that. I will have to pass and wait for others to get stock.

So it seems bytewise was able to ship a limited quantity of them....was anyone able to get their hands on one?
 
Well, I finally ordered one today from Monarch (in stock) and it seems i got 2 day shipping. So hopefully itll be here by this weekend!
 
I ordered mine on the 8th (tat like 2am... heh.) and just got my tracking number tonight. :D I emailed them and they said they actually only got the shipment of them in this morning (the 9th), so if you ordered before then yours should have shipped out tonight along with mine.
 
From monarch? I ordered it today around 1ish, and it says its authenticating @ warehouse. No tracking # yet.
 
Got my tracking number today from Monarch. It will be here Friday according to Fedex. So fun for the weekend. Just what school didn't need to happen. Now I won't do much studying. Oh well!!!

Ordered Monday, shipped Wednesday and hopefully will be here Friday. From what some are saying, DFI said there will be limited retailers getting this board. Monarch is getting most or all of the first shipment along with a Canadian retailer. The second shipment will then start to spread around between them and others. The supply will be kind of small for now but don't know for sure. Monarch supposedly got 150 of these in.

NCIX is the canadian retailer...along with bytewise. Monarch was another too. I just got a tracking number and it said itll be here Monday. grrr.
 
So far my board is running pretty good. I got my 4800+ all the way to 3200MHz and booting to windows, but not stable. This thing seems to be impossible to get to "no POST". I've totally dicked settings up and it boots right up no matter what.
 
Most of you probly still remember that with DFI Ultra-D and SLI-DR we have to set VID to non auto/default vcore to be able to run memory @ >3.2V (with 4V jumper). With DFI RDX200 and Expert there is no jumper to switch, you can run >3.2V Vmem. right on the bios. Do not set your vid @ auto when you run vmem @>2.9V...it can kill your cpu memory controller.
 
So did he say when one gets the board, before putting the CPU in, plug the power into the board (ATX and 8pin 12v) and turn on the power on the back of the PSU. If you hear a high pitched noise from the chipset, dont put in the CPU. Is that correct?
