sooo your several levels below me and you think i havent played it enough? Please. Probably because i was pulled into it by beeing quoted in the first place?

And hes absolutely not right. There are multiple exotics that benefit sunsingers in the armor slots which and collecting both is pointless because you will never be able to use both. Weapons too, sure you could constantly swap out gear but thats just flat out stupid theres no reason i shouldnt be able to use both.

It is artificial extension of their lack of content, that is all there is in the game. Limits on marks, limits on rep, terrible loot system, it is all artificial extension of a game that has no content.

Even the campaign in D3 is HOURS longer than it was in destiny, and thats before you get to the rinse and repeat loot grind, which what a concept, is an entirely different game mode than the campaign.

Oh, and 10 hours of crucible is nothing and your all over the place strike missions ranging from 20 to 24.
 
This game gives me eyestrain to no end it either the small objects or the frame rate or FOV.

Its funny you mentioned Bad Juju because I have been on the fence with this weapon. I know they are saying they are going to "fix" it. After playing around with this weapon I have found it to be a lot of fun. Once you unlock the "teleporting bullets" part of the weapon it gets pretty interesting.
The weapon has a great shot group and the way it handles your rounds is pretty interesting. Case in point, if you are a good shot you will literally never run out of bullets.
It starts with 15 rounds in the magazine and around 322 rounds in reserve. It is a pulse rifle so every time you fire, 3 rounds go off. If it takes two times to kill someone you essentially used 6 rounds. Normally this would you leave you with 9 round in the magazine, not in case of Bad Juju, it just puts you back at 15 rounds again and no need to reload. Going against a boss would prove different results as it would take more than 3 or 6 rounds to kill him but almost any other none yellow titled mob you will be be back at a full magazine.
Even if you run out of round in your magazine and have to reload, once you get your next kill, it will get you back to 322 rounds total again.
If you were able to use both Bad Juju and Ice Breaker at the same time, you would essentially never have to find ammo.

Log into the game and it paints a much different picture where there is always a ton of people playing on the Ps4.

I couldn't care less if MCC comes out for Xbone and destiny loses some players there, I can play MCC on my Xbone and Destiny on my PS4.

You mean a select few who nonstop defend the game? If you looked at reddit AT ALL after the game launched for the first several weeks it was absolutely filled with people complaining about the game

I don't care what it looked like then, I look at the "aftermath" NOW on reddit and it's not all that bad (Someone said to check in the 2nd or 3rd month.. looks good so far!). Stop ignoring the fact that people are enjoying the game WHO ALSO UNDERSTAND that there are problems. We bring it up on their forums in hopes it WILL be fixed. Can anyone give me a pseudo guide on what to do next? Where to "farm"

I am lvl 21 with all +light rares in every slot. I cannot for the life of me find a rare weapon upgrade that is an auto rifle or scout rifle (as those work best for me).

I get railroaded in the crucible and it takes 75 games at two marks a piece to buy anything from the crucible dealers.

What all gives you vanguard marks? I que into strike playlist and get a group that either disconnects or wipes all the time.

I feel stuck.

For me weapons were the hardest thing to upgrade, i got fewer weapon drops and most were underleveled. The thing with Light is you need to stack it as much as you can regardless of the other stats on the items. I believe what people found was that as your light level increases so do the levels of your drops.

Honestly my first purple gear came from the vanguard vendor. Running strikes to get the rep and then doing patrol missions and events for the marks. Bounties are the fastest way to gain rep, so complete every bounty you can on a daily basis, most of the time youll be rep limited in terms of your ability to buy gear as opposed to marks if your doing nothing but strikes

Its simple, stop quoting me in posts if you want me to stop replying. Strangly enough looking at reddit i the first complaint thread i saw, and the very first reply was people complaining about people complaining. And that there is 100 posts like it every day. Very strange...

The only reason i replied to anything in this thread is because i was quoted and people claiming im posting nothing but "missinformation" and that "im wrong" when in no way have i been wrong. Just because you enjoy the game in no way significies that the issues I have with it are incorrect, it just means your more willing to put up with those issues than i am.

Do daily heroics, strikes, and bounties. Also public event I believe gives you some rep as well... someone correct me if I'm wrong on that one.

That really is the fastest way. Strikes at least gives you a chance at getting legendary gear albeit the drop rate on legendary engrams have plummeted since the patch.
 
I'm level 25 (soon as I level up my armor with the Iron I'll be 26) Have to wait a entire week for either XUR to spawn or grind some more crucible marks got all legendary armor except for the helm.

I seen a ball in the Tower a purple ball someone was kicking it around I started kicking it around wasn't much fun...
 
I landed 3 Atheon Legendary Helm's on my 2 hunters yesterday.. and went 3/3 for timebreakers as well (I have 5 of them now)... and got 1 atheon helm for my titan. yesterday was a bad day.. no Atheon's Epilogue whatsoever.. but who am I kidding.. I cheesed for one last time before the fix :p.

Where the heck are my Atheon's Epilogue! :(

Now was that so hard ;) and come on, to be fair you know as an engineer if someone quotes you, and flat out says your wrong your going to reply to it.

Frankly i hope they fix the game, (hell i already paid for the 2 DLCs). The building blocks are absolutely there, but the delivery and the content given their timeline and budget are what frustrated me the most. The gameplay is there, i would like to see more depth to the stats, and even item "sets" so to speak where you can equip multiple exotics and the synergize with each other. That is a tried and proven tactic that just about every loot focused game uses. Im guessing its mostly due to Bungies inexperience, but they really did under deliver in many many aspects of the game. They seriously need to look at what blizzard did with D3. that is an absolutely PRIME example of a game gone wrong and fixed to be incredibly successful and popular. Every problem i have with the game, if they truely support it for 10 years can be fixed, its just a matter of whether or not they do it

So, you played it enough to feel you didn't get your money's worth, and have a bit of buyer's remorse because the delivery method you chose (digital) doesn't allow you to recoup any of your investment. I totally understand that.

I feel that they cheaped out on the (almost) non-existant storyline, and some of the elements could use refinement. But, I am having fun, and with the lack of games available on the Xbone, I am likely to be playing it for a while. I am lvl 27 lock, who maxed out Void, and have almost maxed Sun, absolutely hate and suck at PVP, and have legendary items in every slot EXCEPT for my primary weapon slot. I just hit lvl 3 vangaurd rep and need a few more marks to upgrade that slot. I have an exotic helm, and am working on an exotic quest for a machine gun. I have lots to keep me busy, between hunting for public events and doing daily quests. I haven't run VoG yet, looking forward to that, and trying to find a team to run Nightfall with. I am 3 levels from the cap and still haven't experienced everything there is to offer, so have I gotten my $60 worth? I think so. Much moreso than that steaming pile of elephant dung that Titanfall was.

To each their own. In my opinion, it is a decent enough game, nothing on par with say, the storylines of the Mass Effect series, nor is it groundbreaking, but it feels like a solidly crafted game that was hamstrung a bit due to constraints - either monetary, or timeline, or to milk the fanbase with DLC that maybe should have been in game at release. I'll continue to play it until I feel there isn't much left for me to do, or something else comes out that commands my attention. Until then, you can find me in game. Oh, and if you play on Xbox One, please add me, gamertag is Kilaen. I'm always looking for folks to run with.
 
The way I see it is that Bungie is doing the same exact mistakes as Blizzard did. They could have totally learned from that. But if it is indeed going the same way as Diablo 3.. the game will only get better (which it already is!)

I can't wait for the Vex Mythoclast re-buff for PvE.

You are correct, PE's give 4 marks per event. You can also exchange elements(helium, iron, etc) for 5 marks per 50 turned in. Works well for the earlier levels before having to use those elements for weapon upgrades.
Tiger strikes are good for marks and rep. I try to max my 100 mark limit once a week. Once you have a legendary piece in each slot, you can still use those marks to buy a set of boots and dismantle them for shards.
The first PE that you do each day is worth shards, energy or strange coin. Sometimes you will get a shard or energy at the time you complete a PE.
I personally found that raising Vanguard was the fastest way. I have heard some people suggest once you reach level 3 you should switch over to one of the other factions FWC, Dead Orbit or Monarchy and build those. To be honest, none of those vendors really carry anything I need or want so I just keep building my Vanguard. Every new Vanguard level I get, more Postmaster legendary stuff I get.
I had enough marks built up that I bought a Blue Sparrow then I bought a green upgrade from Xur last week so now I have a Legendary Sparrow that hauls ass and has those extra strafe left and right buttons.

Yeah, doesn't matter what you use to get the marks, it is still a 100 mark a week limit. If you have three characters and are trying to level just one, it can be used to an advantage. If you need shards or energy faster, you can buy weapons or other armor with the other classes and just break them down. You will get a crap ton of shards and energy if you go through the raid though. If you to get nothing but shards for an entire raid, it would be around 24. Normally it will be a toss up of either or, or both.

I have been lucky in some ways but still unlucky with one. I have an exotic for three spots on my Warlock, Helm, Chest and arms. Running the Raid 6 times, I still have yet to get the legs. Legs are all I need to get to 30. To be honest though, I am not in a huge hurry, getting 29 is about the same when it boils down to it, your armor rating will obviously be higher but in the grander scheme of things until the DLC Raids come, 29 is just fine. Although, those Raids will have new sets of Raid gear for each one. They are saying level cap will be raised to 32 for the Hive Raid, plus new weapons and exotics.

Looks like the second DLC Raid is going to be in the Reef with the Awoken.
 
Level 26 :p Once I get a heroic piece of armor from XUR and some more upgrades should be good.
Did a Raid level 22 for this week man was that hard LOL had 3 guys one guy added me in fireteam at the Tower. Those damn Wizards are fast and just nuke yur ass.

Upgrading Armor is fun unless you don't have the ascended shards I got about 100 iron Relics I see each armor set has different materials swamp rocks and Air.

Adjusted my 27" monitor put it slight higher it's with two books on the bottom think it was to low I have like a nightstand for it and angled it slightly looks good now the low brightness could of been hard on the eyes too. It's a IPS 1080P ASUS.


As far at the NPCS yeah they are generic and predictable but I could see future expansions making this a great game. I see people looking for Chests for hours on end on Mars looking in caves.

This game could be awesome with a overhall but considering it's last Gen and Next gen I don't think it will work out.

I see they kinda tried making it like Planetside 2 but Planetside 2 is that much more fluid.


The problems with any expansion that nobody buys them =) Found that out with Borderlands II.....
 
Best thing you can do between lvl 21-26 is to run Crucible, Daily Story and strike list. I would not even bother with VOG unless you are being totally carried. Make sure to have one material farm path for each planet, does not have to be perfect but helps alot if you pick up 6-10 of the native planet material per 6 patrol missions bounty.
This is the best way to get high level (+15 light) rare armor, and legendaries since the drop rate for engrams is pretty good and you are awarded some at the end of the missions. You will also be leveling up the crypt arch who will give you 2-3 engrams each level himself. By the time you are 26, I'd say you would have at least 4-5 legendary items maybe more.

If you can help it, don't upgrade your legendary armor using shards. Only do this if you have to reach a certain level because you really really want to do the nightfall or Hard mode VOG. Save most of your shards and ascendant energy. Do the upgrades that require planet resources and glimmer.

Once you get a great legendary primary (not exotic) that you believe is a good weapon for the Raid, upgrade that to the fullest. Don't try to upgrade 3 different legendaries using shards. You will have 3 great weapons for most of PVE but they will be mediocre for Vault. I recommend buying Doctor Nope from Vanguard once you have enough marks unless you have found something better(you have been running the strike missions between 22-25 right???), Once you have an %80 upgraded Doctor nope, purchased an exotic armor piece from Xur and have level 25.5/26 you are ready to join up to VOG groups and not just carried but actually learn the map and gameplay mechanics as well as contribute.

IMO this is the best way to make the most out of what the game gives you and have something to do all the time.

Ohh I almost forgot. Join a good clan and team up with people. Very very important. PvP is so much more fun when your team mates are with you, backing you up, fighting side by side or cursing out fusion rifles like a choir.
 
Did the raid last night, was kind of crap for me. Drops were not agreeing with me, mostly shards. All my armor is completely maxed. I wanted boots, I ended up getting gloves... again and Vision of Confluence which I already have and is maxed out. I was mostly looking for energy.
 
I'm the opposite of you Occidio, I feel like I'm cursed to always get energy. I'm sitting on about 60-70 energy right now, vision of confluence is maxed, my ice breaker is almost maxed, and so is my mythoclast. However, I am missing most raid gear except helm.. Which I won't be using to replace my exotic anytime soon. Also, I hardly have any shards if I were to get new raid gear. Sigh. :(

this weeks strike is no joke. My buddy at lvl 27 and me at 21 thought we could run through it in about 15 minutes.,.. yeah that got corrected quickly. Probably would have been ok with a third person, but with just the two of us and the modifiers used, it was just rape.

still fun though

This game is a Love Hate relationship with me I love how they spent 500 million on the game Hate that it's not what I expected it to be.
Love the little touches they put in the game Hate the overall game as a whole. Love the Loot Hate the loot Cave Nerfs.
Love the PVP Hate the chunkiness of it unless you corner camp =)

For the wizards, stay on the long stairs and use Ice Breaker on them. They have solar shields and they go down fast.

I don't understand your love hate relationship. You say you love 500mil spent but it did not live up to your expectations, and you hate they nerfed the loot cave.

So you wanted/expected a 500 million dollar game where the main purpose of people logging in is to stand next to someone shooting at an entry level spawn location for hours at a time?
 
The crucible is not about corner camping nor is it "chunky" as you put it. You're PvPing wrong. The gunplay in this game is fantastic. If you think corner camping is bad in this game... try to play CoD and then you'll know what true corner camping is. I seriously don't get it.. IMO I find that the people who are not good at aiming in a FPS always bags on the PvP portion of the game when that portion is perfectly fine. Its not quite as unbalanced as people say it is. I do just as well on either of my characters, but I still prefer Hunter (read: gunslinger, the true hunter class) due to the faster jump.
 
Deaths are too fast in pvp. way too much insta-kill.

Ran VoG with friends + "friends that don't play enough" and it was a fucking disaster, we got to Atheon after 3hrs, but not without some serious headaches. I should have known when the one guy (who was 30min late) said "So uh...where's the gunsmith?"
 
Cs is way faster than this. Crucible is a bit care bear compare to what I'm used to in FPS. You get a lot of chance to survive in this game.
 
Getting a bit bored after putting over hundred hours into this thing. Loved the game. Might try a warlock now to change things up.
 
Warlock is the most fun Nuking with Grenades is great when you run of Rocket Launcher amo.
 
I got my first Heroic armor chest from ZUR..... Wanted the gun he had but didn't have enough coins when I upgrade the Heroic armor along with the other legendary stuff I have should get to level 26 it seems leveling slows down once you hit 25 =) Reason why you see so many level 27s in the game.
 
Finally got some Raid legs. Took its sweet time lol.
Hoping I can get the rest through Iron Banner coming up that will have armor that levels up to 30 as well.
