I havent touched the parts in my desktop in at least 3-4 years i think. About all i really use it for now is a media server. Reason for the upgrade is to boost performance when transcoding video to be displayed using a xbox360 as well as general overall performance.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing?
GENERAL USE, VIDEO TRANSCODING
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included? 500ish (CHEAPEST POSSIBLE REALLY), TAX AND SHIP
3) Where do you live? MOUNT JULIET, TN
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? MOTHERBOARD, CPU, RAM, PSU
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? CASE, HDDS, OPTICAL DRIVES, FANS
6) Will you be overclocking? SURE, DONT HAVE TO THOUGH
7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have? 19INCH SAMSUNG
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC? NEXT MONTH OR TWO
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video? etc. PREFER ONBOARD VIDEO FOR COST, RAID WOULD BE NICE ADDITION AS WELL, NEED HOOKUP FOR 4+ HDDS
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit? WINDOWS XP BUT REALLY NEED TO UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 7 I SUPPOSE, MAIN REASON FOR THE 500 BUDGET

What are you using for video transcoding? I recommend doubling the amount of RAM for that task:
