Did you plug the USB cable from the monitor to your PC to power the hub and card reader?
I purchased from electronics.liquidation .. Great communication and guaranteed A01's.. 3 year warranty from Dell Retail units.. No Refurb..
I highly recommend this seller. Bought the second monitor from him. Had one bright pixel and back light uniformity issue. I plan to exchange through Dell but the seller went ahead and did it for me. Dell will send out new monitor with return label for the monitor. I don't quite expect this but what a pleasant surprise
And yeah, great communication too. Will probably buy a third from him to complete my eyefinity setup. But I guess this time I just pay extra for pixel check before the guy sends it out
I'm on my second panel (which is worst that the first) made Feb10 in Mexico and it has a very noticeable magenta cast on the right side, 12 dark sub pixels, and some bleed in the top right side. I intend to send this one back also and give the U2410 one more shot. If the next one is a dud, itll be back to the drawing board for me.
did you ask dell if you could do this? or did they offer this option? that is nice of them imo.
can you guys please link me again to where to get the firmware file?
has anyone bought from frozentundraelectronics on ebay?
Put a pure white backround on each display and look for discoloration is probably the best way to test for the tinting effect. However many people who bitched about it were infact just noticing the wide color gamut of the U2410 and assuming it was a defect due to how it displayed colors.
If the pure white backround looks solid and white you're good to go.

Very nice lady. Just tell her that you have a dead pixel and she will take care of you. She helped me with my replacement and even called to me to confirm that everything is fine.
I was thinking of buying the U2410 and was looking to possibly pair 2 monitors on the left and right. Obviously 2 more U2410 will line up nicely, but for a 4:3 monitor, could an owner of a U2410 measure the panel height only? Dell just lists the height with the stand
Was hoping for a 1600x1200 | 1920x1200 | 1600x1200 type of setup
Thanks for the reply, I found this and he has A01's what do you guys think ?www.dell.com
or ebay for slightly better price but dell.com has it for $499 frequently (or anytime really if you call them and ask for that price).

Is the pink green tint issue fixed with rev A01 ???
Thanks for the reply....I found theses guys, they will do a pixel check for an extra $20, Ill try one of these one time.as stated above. i ordered 3 from him. all brand new in box and they were A01 models. i recommend him, great reseller.
the models i got didnt have any color tint issues. maybe i was lucky....dont know if they fixed it.
the tinting is a panel manufacturing/quality control issue that affects many LG IPS panels (including non-Dell IPS monitors).
So basically this monitor is pile of poo....I'll pass.As stated in the thread (many times), Rev 01 only corrects dithering issues in sRGB mode... the tinting is a panel manufacturing/quality control issue that affects many LG IPS panels (including non-Dell IPS monitors).
I'd go for a 2408wfp if it is perfect.is there any real noticable difference between 2408wfp and u2410?

I don't want to go though four before I get one that is good...I guess some people are just lucky, wanna sell one :->Not really, I have 3 and none show any tinting. And if you don't have tinting problems, the monitor is excellent.

More than likely it is just that some people are *unlucky* and end up with tinting problems. I highly, highly doubt that the tinting problem is anywhere near as common as this thread would indicate.
yes, there is a selection sampling bias because this is a technology forum where a disproportionate number of people know about/understand the tinting issue and are going to post about it
