Are those credit cards in that one photo? Lemme see if I can clean it a up a bit and get me a free Coolermaster case as well. :D

J/K of course, but you really should not post photos of your credit cards!

good point, didnt notice that lol

That case has only one real flaw. Lack of cooling on the hard drives. You can move the lower fan bracket to the hard drive cage if you want. What I did was move the lower fan housing above the drive cage and I reversed the fan flow so that it would blow air down onto the drives in the drive bays. I then installed another 120mm fan on the bottom of the case to draw cool air in from the bottom into the case as before. I put a fan grill on that fan to make sure that no wires fell into it.

ah excellent i was hoping someone with a b3 quad would reply to this.

have you overclocked at all? also thansk for the tip on moving the bottom fan bracket, i was going to cable tie one into the 5.25" drive bays. but if this works better i will try this first.

I don't know if it would work better than the zip tie method but it does look better. To mount the fan to the bottom of the case without the housing you'll need to remove both bottom filters and unscrew the black plastic thing on the bottom of the cases' exterior and remove the two gold colored screws. Then you can take that out and mount the fan normally.

As for overclocking I've not been able to get too far. The problem I've got is that I killed my EVGA 680i SLI Black Pearl Edition motherboard and as a result I had to switch back to the Striker Extreme. I don't have any of the receipts for my dead EVGA motherboard and the Black Pearl never had a receipt since it was given to me. In any case I've always kept my Striker Extreme as a kind of backup board since I've fried so many reference boards. I decided not to buy another reference board as that's just pissing money away.

My Striker Extreme is very reliable but it is a terrible overclocker. Results with dual core CPUs are tolerable but nothing special. With quad cores I can't seem to go past 2.83GHz and even when I do that I can't get the memory to run at a full 800MHz without the system losing stability. The board keeps trying to run the memory at 339MHz X 2 or something similar regardless of what settings I try to use. The 7xxMHz to 850MHz hole is a known one and it is just another pain in the ass to deal with. I'd run my RAM higher than that as it is more than capable of doing so but I've only had success with that on the reference boards. After days of screwing with this thing and getting no where I decided to leave everything stock until I replace the motherboard. I've been waiting on the Striker II Formula to show up in the U.S. but sadly it has not yet.

ah thats great, because i have heard people having heat trouble with this case. i will set it up the standard way and see what temps are. and then try your way and see if it makes things better.

Well the only thing my way did was give air to my hard drives. As for people having problems with this case I can't imagine what those would be. If I can maintain decent temps with three video cards and a B3 Q6600 no one has anything to worry about. Also this case isn't bad for water cooling either.

more pics

ok everything is in, temps are all good.

temps are all good, just as good as the 690 was with 7 fans.

8800GT temps dropped 4c withe VGA duct.

i took out the 3 bottom HD trays because i only have 2 HD's so i zip tied a spare CM 120mm fan in there to give some active cooling to HD's above it. seems to do the job.

I can't even use the VGA duct. My 8800GTX's and thier six power cables get in the way.
