Saw this on engadget and wow thats a great mod...so everything just works? will it have any interference with the other usb ports? you make me wanna buy an Eee

This is awesome and probably something I would never have the balls to try. This makes me want an Eee PC even more now!

wow good job, ur f crazy, i would be too scared to brick my lappy.

thats amazing man. we have done lcd mods and bt mods for most of asus models that didnt have the option in the past. we were the only dealer to even offer such options. now a days asus integrates blutooth in all their models for the most part. what you have done here is not a far cry from what we have done but the ingenuity and the fact that you have done this without trial and error on other eepc goes to show that you should have a job in the field. you probably do already.

Guys do you think it would be possible to stick an 80gb 1.8" drive in the Eee pc?

VERY nice... are there any close-up pics so someone could replicate this properly? (EDIT: Found the pics in a thread linked to in your original thread) I'd love to mod mine if I get it, but it looks too tight for my skills :p. I really want to add bluetooth functionality so I could hook into my phone for web access, and extra storage never hurts either ;)!

AMAZING!! UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME LITTLE RED X'S!! Post MOAR, post MOAR!!s
The pictures did work earlier today, smarty. :p His host seems to be having a problem or he has since deleted them.

It was a pretty cool mod, with a couple of extra USB ports added to the empty expansion space. Then it looked like he removed the casing from a USB flash drive and a USB BT adapter so everything could fit neatly under the cover.
