Why is it that there are no dedicated power supplies for video cards?
Why do you need to replace your perfectly working 500w PS with a 600 or 1kw just so you can use a GTX470 or SLI 480?.
Wouldn't it make more sense to make 400 or 500w PS for say SLI 480 or 5970 quadfire?
I remember when I got a Geforce FX5900, I've used a 200w ATX to feed it and overclock it. IIRC I had a 300w PS and it was not enough for the power hungry card.
