Since this is related to AMD 6970 and Morph AA I chose not to post in the General Games forums. This is hardware related.

Morph AA....... Deadspace 2 looks worse with it on.

Anyone else think so? Im trying to see whats so great about Morph rendering except a major frame hit.

I am getting 180fps with Morph on and 250-475fps with it off. One LCD. I bet its far less with eyefinity but that is not the subject of my comment.

morph causes much less impact then any other form of AA compartively, but while I think it looks great on somethings, the effect on menus, hud, etc, make it look TERRIBLE

Yeah it really depends on the game... MLAA works wonders in Crysis & in others with lots of foliage.

it's true about the letters in menus but i really
like it ingame while playing dead space 2.
i think it makes it look more realish.

Really I felt quite the opposite. Maybe I'm just expecting too much put of dx9 and the fact that pc gamers have to put up with great titles but horrible rendering and outdated graphics engines from those blasted consoles. I wish microscat would release a dx11 xbox then all games will be eye candy.

Dx9 does deadspace 2 no justice. But I might try morph a little more and see if it grows on me.
