Last night I was talking to a forum member about selling him my CPU. I went to go test the CPU to make sure it worked, but I only have one 478 socket mobo. I took out the original CPU and put in the one I was selling. That worked just fine.
Afterwards, I put in the original CPU and the computer wouldn't POST. I tried the other one, and it still wouldn't POST.
Things I tried:
- swapping CPUs
- cleaing CMOS
- checking to see if Artic Silver got on anything
- different video card
- taking out mobo from case and trying to run it
- running w/o CPU
- running with one stick of RAM
Hardware:
2.6C
2.0A
Abit AI7
1g Kingston PC3700 hyperx
Radeon 9500pro
Nvidia Geforce MX 400
Antec 430w True Power
Thanks for the help
