[DEAD]7800X3D

I don't know if they're going to be getting more in stock, but Amazon Canada's 7800X3D stock is currently all gone. Maybe Amazon is aiming to clear-out its US stock, too.
 
For what it’s worth recently at Microcenter they sold out again. They’ve had multiple bundles with these advertised.

I’m guessing people are betting if the performance “increase” in anything like what the 9000 series has been vs the 7000 series non x3d parts, then buying the 7800x3d will be a better value for the price. I get the logic actually and understand why they are selling out.
 
Yeah, I think there will be a perf increase on the 9800x3d but I doubt it will be more than 10-12%. At these prices, a 7800x3d plus the cheapest MB that will take a fast SSD some $100 DDR5 and you're set for another 4-5 years.
 
I bought this 2 days ago from Newegg as part of a CPU/motherboard combo...$30 discount...so technically I can take the $30 off the price of the CPU and ended up paying $336.82
 
I've built 2 AMD rigs in 2024 -- 5800X for my nephew and 7800X3D (mine). Both have performed flawlessly. (y)
 
The 7800x 3D cost more than what I payed for my Starfield Best Buy combo = The Game = Ryzen 5 7600x = Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX = $289.XX in July 2023.

I think I paid $380 for mine almost a year ago. If it is going for $330 or so like it has, I think it would be a better deal than a $400 9800X3D. There is no way it will see a ~20% performance increase for that 21% increase in price. Probably 10% at best, and the non-X3D lineup looked disappointing to me so it may be even less than that. The real world in game performance difference will likely be even smaller when you turn up the graphic settings. It will see a price drop after a few months, but then you'll be 8 months away from the next CPU.
 
Ryzen 9000 sales must be so low, prompting a run on Zen 4, that when I clicked on the link to the 7800X3D a moment ago, the price when Amazon is the seller has zoomed back up to $413 with no game bundle!

Newegg is back to $400, though at least with the two games deal.
