DDC2 or 655 for this setup?

If I get a DDC2 it will be a modded one with 1/2" barbs
 
why a ddc2? it creates this horrible whine, I sold mine.

You're better off with a d5/mcp655 - much more power and silent.
 
My DDC2 is creating a terrible whine as well, does anyone know a way to fix this? Or if I replace it will the new one do the same?

It's because the motor is running extremely fast - its also very small and in a small inclosure.
 
So it's normal for a DDC2 to make this whining noise? Mine isn't constant either so it comes and goes. :(
 
I have 2 in series modded with 1/2 barbs I can't hear them unless I open my case and put my ear up to them. You ask why 2 in series? the answer is pressure. I'll put these little beauties up against a 655 any day of the weak with any kind of restriction
