DC Vault

TSC is also going to the lab and will no longer need people to crunch for them.
TSC Forum

Edit: After looking at the DC-Vault teams ahead and behind us and their D2OL & TSC scores I came to the conclusion that BOINC.BE will gain a little ground catching up to us but we will make a large leap at the teams ahead of us.
- It's amazing that just a couple months ago we were at position 140-150 in the vault and now we are pushing our way into the top 10.
- Way to go [H]ard DC Commandos !!

good see that all our hard work and time and money spent on electricity/hardware is actually for something..

Overall Team Position: (Up 1 places) 12
Overall Team Score: (Up 3.881411 points) 337,514.682554

hell yeah.. though we may take a nose dive during the chimp challenge.. so we better rack up as many points as we can..

The CC will kill our momentum, but we'll win the thing quickly and then we can get back to business. :)

I used to do F@H but I don't like their program and all the errors either. I will stay on DC for the ChimpChallenge and maybe be able to hold off a little bit. Good luck with the CC though!

Can some one try and see if you can reach the GPUGRID Site?
It went unavailable early this morning and I haven't been able to contact to it since.
Just wondering if its me or the site is in fact down.

Thanks

yeah im only going to be running my gpu i think.. was going to venture into the SMP client but i just dont feel like messing with it right now.. maybe that will change when it gets closer to the challenge..

Thanks for checking that for me sirmonkey1985.
Bummer I have 1 system out of work with x2 units waiting to send in to GPUGRID and another system with x2 units to send in and crunching the last of its units.

I want to focus on a project now since we are pretty comfortable in genlife. I am not sure which project though. Any suggestions?

::edit:: Maybe GIMPS it seems like were losing alot of points from it.

That or one of the two Sieve projects. We are hurting pretty bad there.

I think i'll do GIMPS. I don't really understand sieveing. I tried it before and i'm pretty sure I sent the results wrong.

yeah i tried it as well.. but screw doing an insane amount of work to run some ones project when its costing me money to run it, not them.. they should be making it as simple as possible but what ever.. its their loss not mine..

If you do GIMPS and don't want to run it for months at a time, set for "Trial Factoring" only. BTW, my four LL tasks are still on track to finish by the end of the month.

I just got back from a few days in Vegas, and it looks like all my computers stayed up while I was gone. Unfortunately I didn't win any money to buy more "D". :D

Malariacontrol.net has task available if current users want to run any. (Project is not in DC-Vault)
Anyone without an account can PM me with User name, E-mail address, Temp password and I will PM you back when your account is created.

So I popped in over at Spinhenge to check on the project forum this morning, and guess who is the user of the day?

None other than our own Razor_FX_II! Finally got some money back in your budget for those UotD campaigns, huh, Razor? :D

Yeah spending all that Tax money I just got back on advertisement.;)
Seems like I get put as user of the day on one project or another at least once a week.

Here is HTML Tag code for our projects if you use the "Administer" link under your account next to the team name - you can add this under "edit team info" paste this into "Team name, HTML version" section then update.
Code:
<a href='http://www.hardocp.com'><img src='http://www.hardfolding.com/images/new_banner_hol.gif'>

I have also been changeing the "URL of team web page" to www.hardocp.com

BTW, you do realize that the graphic you link to has the hardfolding.com URL in it, right?

Yes I do realize that. As far as I know we don't have a general [H]ard|OCP DC'ing one.
Thanks Jathanis

No kidding, it's a good thing I have the project list or I'd never remember all of them. I'll get going on it tomorrow.

Razor, did you get the OK to hotlink the image from hardfolding?

Okay, I'm trying to find a good site to use to monitor my stats on all the different projects I'm working on, and started with free-dc.org. I'm getting so frustrated with getting the stat site to do what i want, though, I'm about ready to quit (the site) - is it just me having a problem figuring out how to log on? I log on just fine in the forum, but when I try to use the statstool, it keeps telling me to log in over at the forums first... I'm using the latest Firefox, does that matter? Or does anyone have a better stat tracking site they recommend? I'm getting tired of having to modify URLs to see the stats relevant to me!

specific stats i just go and look at my profile in one of the boinc sites.. shows your stats for all the boinc projects.. just not in detail.. but shows how many points you have and usually are updated every 6-12 hours..

but i have all the team stats pages for each project on the quick launch tabs on FF..

I gave up on logging in and configuring things myself. But this page tells me everything I'm usually looking for

Thanks everyone for all the replies!

errp, jump the gun on that one, thats not all your projects :)
Yeah, but that gives me a site to go look around on. I've seen others link to it, but haven't really explored it, and the duplicate database crap at hardfolding.com has gotten annoying, so I don't use it anymore for anything except daily/update numbers. Too had to figure out who my threats are now, though! Besides, as both an Engineer AND a stat whore, I love the charts...

Yeah, that's what I have, a drop down menu from the FF bookmark toolbar with links to each project, I was just looking for something more concise...

... like this, thanks! Added to the top of my bookmark list. Now if they could just get F@H to be included on that page! :D

just as a note.. i havent used the hardfolding section of the in almost 7 months.. to many problems.. way to damn slow.. databases constantly missing.. its nice to have but its the weakest link to this site in my opinion..

I just got a friend request on Facebook from one of the guys from ibercivis (I think he is, my spanish isn't good at all :D). It's funny how people can figure out who you are so easily online now.

It looks like D2OL and TSC were removed from the Vault this morning after the morning stats update. We'll see how the rankings change this afternoon.

The Vault just updated, and we're still #12 but there was a huge shake-up in the Bio category team rankings. We'll probably see a lot more activity in that category's projects as people try to regain lost ground. It looks like all the Bio projects are now BOINC projects, except for F@H.

let the fun begin.. wonder if they will put anything in to replace the ones removed..

They've said before that they're not adding something just because something came out and vice versa, but like Razor said, the discussion on Enigma@Home has been looking favorable towards it getting added. So I've been being a bit proactive and running some Enigma@Home in the mean time.

Thats the same feeling that I was getting from the discussion over in DC-Vault forum also about Enigma.
I'm just finishing up a block of Spinhenge units then I'm going to throw some cores at it and see if I can do some good before it gets added (if it does).

Added or not, its a project that I'm personally interested in, so this give me an excuse to do a bit of work on a non DC-Vault project either way.:D

The Majestic-12 project has a new MJ12node 1.7.0 Beta 1 out and the project is running new buckets without DNS mentions (less DNS errors).
I'm using the mj12node_win32_dotnet2_v168.msi with the mj12node_win32_dotnet2_v170b1 copied into the installed directory and the new buckets seem to run extremely clean.
File downloads here: http://www.majestic12.co.uk/files/mj12node/

If you still have DNS errors you may want to try OpenDNS either run it only on your MJ-12 machine or you can set it up in your router to use LAN wide (I use it on the single system that is running MJ-12 by changing my provider DNS to the OpenDNS ip's in my network adapter static ip config).
Works great, I have 2 DNS errors out of about 150k urls so far tonight - thats awsome.
