With our current RAC, we should be able to take about a dozen spots this month at POGS. We currently have the 9th highes RAC and are in position 38.

I don't think it will normalize anytime soon. Grandpa just checked another pony into the race.

That one taint no poney, it is a full grown Throughbread running 64 cores at 3.175Ghz![]()
tjmagneto, are you aware that you have like 3 accounts listed?

Now if only some old fart would spend some of that retirement money on some rigs...j/k
Good job guys.
It's a pony.Thoroughbreds are stabled in closely matched pairs to drive each other harder, faster and stronger. While your G34 is another fine pony, it is past it's prime and is being kept only for the stud fees collected. It is hardly a match for the Intel.
Now if another 4P E5-4650 were to somehow join the stable, they would then both qualify as thoroughbreds, and damn fine ones at that.![]()
In my efforts to see if there happened to be any info in the forums over at DIMES (and there wasn't) in regards to the missing stats over the last few days, I did read someone point out that the version 1 app only receives about half of the points as the version .5.5.3

DooKey, good to have you back up and running. You were making Grandpa look too good in your absence....lol
You know, I'm starting to get a bit depressed over here not being in the 24+ core server club...Anyone have an idea how I can convince my wife to stop spending so much money on her pet home improvement projects so I can at least get a damn Socket F?!

Hi Rick, and all others who are waiting desperately...
it's been a sobering week for me... every solved problem brought up a new one, and the application is still not running properly.
I'm now at a point where the standalone executable runs fine, but when started by the BOINC client, it fails immediately. So it's still useless to start the beta test.
This is kind of the worst case situation, because it's hell to debug that.
I did my best to get the thing running in time, but I'm not able to solve that problem in a night shift.
Sorry for the delay. I'll give you an update on Monday.
Guys, for a AMD GPU-supported BOINC project, where do we need the most help? I prefer the Medical field, but I might consider Math or another field. I don't really want to help search for aliens though.![]()
Hmm, I found the source for the pogs program and recompiled it (AMD Opteron 6234, Win 8.0 x64) using PGI Fortran compilers and Intel Fortran compilers. I ended up getting about the same performance from each. So I selected the Intel version since it probably doesn't end in 2 weeks like the PGI trial program will. About 55% of the original run time (5:50 vs 10:45). Output files matched original and I am waiting to validate one WU so far... http://pogs.theskynet.org/pogs/workunit.php?wuid=6410604
I figure this is pretty safe to the project since they do full WU validation...

I include the source program if someone wants to try to compile it for linux using open64
probably (openf95 -exten-source -Ofast -mavx -mfma4 -mcpu=bdver1 -mtune=bdver1)
