My room had been shut all day, the air was at 78* F in the house, and I come in to find my CPU idling at 60C. Nooooo good!
I decided that 2.4GHz just wasn't worth these ridiculous temperatures
My Thermaltake Silent Boost is just not cut out for overclocking like this. I dropped it down to 200x11.5 and dropped vcore from 1.85 to 1.7v. That last 100MHz just isn't worth the temps.
My CPU is now idling at 46* C, but I also opened up my room and dropped the AC in the house ot 74.
That extra .15v must create a LOT more heat
