Paging Steven Hawking: please explain what the heck is going on in yon galaxy cluster. It seems that the dark matter is not acting as it should and have the corps of scientists who have been studying the phenomenon since 2007 scratching their massive cerebral cortexes in unison.

In the case of Abell 520, the situation is completely different: The galaxies sailed through the collision, but the dark matter piled up in the middle, along with the hot gas.

"According to our current theory... This pretty much sums up most of what these eggheads know. When confronted with evidence that is contrary to their "current theories", they act surprised, and "Oh how can this be?". Just like the "Theory of Evolution" has become fact to these morons. The probability that the universe "just happened" is so enormous, that it is actually impossible for it to have spontaneously appeared. The laws of probabilty don't lie, but lets not let the facts get in the way of our theories. I am now putting on my flame suit, so fire away.

Just remember, God created the sun on the 4th day. So how did the first 3 days pass without a sun. Hrmm...

Someone doesn't know science and what a theory means, versus fairy tales. I used to be shocked at you people.... now I just cry.

Yes, let's completely discount the study of anthropology and all the FACTS it provides that support evolution because a cryptic book, revised countless times throughout an era when a solar eclipse was thought to be an angry god and the Earth was flat, says otherwise.

Let's all jump on the feel-good happy-go-lucky bandwagon because faith, by definition, means to ignore anything that doesn't support your beliefs.

Not sure if serious?

This is the beauty of science. The evidence leads us to our current understanding - when new evidence comes in that contradicts the previous theoretical model, it's back to the drawing board.

I guess in your case it's just easier to say that God did everything, right?

And lol at not believing or understanding Evolution.

You guys do realize that ALL science is based on mathmatics right? The laws of probability are also based on math. They don't lie. There are many well known scientists who are rethinking their positions on evolution vs. creation. It actually takes more faith to believe it all just happened than it does to believe in a God who created it all. I am really impressed by yalls defense of the "faith" though, just shows the brainwashing program in public schools is doing a good job.

Your statement shows how easy it is to just claim mainstream beliefs to be a result of brainwashing. You have it all figured out. Meanwhile, I'll stick to my theory of a transcendent beer fart creating the universe because you can't disprove it.

There's already a competing cosmology known as the Electric Universe, which explains how common cosmology is ignoring electricity as an explanation. Has a better explanation for things like black holes and dark matter. Which in my opinion are superficial explanations for these unexplained events in space.

Here's a good explanation of this.

Here's a 1 hour awesome explanation of the Electric Universe.

Ahh, so the universe can't "just happen", it had to be created. What if we apply the same logic to your God. Who created Him?
Oh, He's simply been here since the beginning of time?
So has the universe. Before the big bang, time (and other aspects of physics) as we perceive it (them) didn't exist.

Just like the "Theory of Evolution" has become fact to these morons.

Recently bacteria have "evolved" to become immune to all forms of antibiotics in India. As predicted by these "morons", because of the over exposure of antibiotics. Particularly to pigs, as they've just discovered.

Evolution is real, and is something we have to worry about with bacteria, viruses, and other infectious diseases. Mutation is a form of evolution. You take these "morons" medications to prevent yourself from dying.

It's just the typical anthropocentrism, we think everything else should be ruled by our own rules .Imagine the surprise of all those that for many years believed in all the theories and science that dictated that life can only exists in warm earth like conditions, then they discovered life existing the deepest bottoms of the sea, sometimes among 200+°F temperatures and living off metals.

The extraordinary thing would have been that you didn't get flamed, people need science and scientists to provide them with an explanation of the world they can accept, when that fails, they tend to become agitated.

Haha. Priceless. Your God, Stephen Hawkings,(you know, the one who proposed the big bang theory in the first place) made this fantastic quote about the universe and possibly other universes: "It is possible, Hawking said, that universes spring into being "like the formation of bubbles and steam in boiling water". A few of these baby universes reach a critical size, and go on to form galaxies, stars "and maybe beings like us", he added.

They just spring into being? really? Like bubbles? Or maybe they pop up like kernels of popcorn in the popper? Oh, and who was there in the beginning to witness this big bang?

No, just common sense. You people are relying on someone providing a fantastical explanation, we're not.

dadman are you deliberately trolling? or are you really that stupid?

Since when is stating my own beliefs trolling? Have I attacked anyone here? Are you people so insecure in your beliefs that you attack anyone who challenges them? I don't take offense at anything being said about me here, but I do detect a lot of hostility towards me.

Science isn't based on a God, son. Your fanatical fervor is, which can't seem to comprehend the idea of an analogy.

What? Fantastical would be thinking all this JUST happened. Order NEVER comes out of chaos, this is a proven fact. If the universe was created by a huge explosion...

So, son, how did your fantasy God come to exist and how did he become able to create? Go back to bed, son, you're dreaming.

Quite true. Science is based on man being the supreme being in the universe. I would suggest that YOUR fanatical fervor far exceeds mine!

Universe, can't just happen.

God, can just happen.

Good logic bro.

Science itself says nothing; scientists, however, do.

Science is the seeking of knowledge. However, everyone comes to the table with a priori convictions.
