Yeah, we did. I caught it after posting, but my edits didn't take! SO......

Start from TekieB's post at 270.4468 to go.

Herulach > 2.1 GHz +
NoXPert > 2.05 GHz = 4.15 GHZ

270.468 - 4.15 GHz = 266.318 GHz to go!

Fold on!

This is my first post in the forum here...I've been folding for team 33 since Sept. 2004 and finally got some extra horsepower behind me during a process I lovingly named Christmas Borgathon 04'. Consider me a lurker finally initiated!

From NoxPert's post we're down to 266.318GHz...

3.50 GHz P4 HT - Personal - 24/7
1.76 GHz P4 - Livingroom - 24/7
.450 GHz P3 - FolderFarm1 - 24/7
.600 GHz Athlon - FolderFarm2 - 24/7
.733 GHz P3 - FolderFarm3 - 24/7
3.20 GHz P4 HT - FolderFarm4 - 24/7
3.20 GHz P4 HT - FolderFarm5 - 24/7
3.50 GHz P4 HT - FolderFarm6 - 24/7
1.63 GHz AXP - Brother's
1.60 GHz P4 - Dad's Desktop - 24/7
2.80 GHz Celeron - Dad's Laptop
2.40 GHz P4 - Mom's Desktop - 24/7
1.53 GHz AXP - Girlfriend's - 24/7
2.40 GHz P4 - Ex-Girlfriends Laptop ;)
---------------------------------------------------------
29.303 GHz <-----Total Personal GHz

266.318GHz - 29.303 = 237.015 GHz to go ... over halfway to .5 THz!!!

PS...Hitobahadur, you've been creeping up on me for a couple weeks now, but no way you're catching me!!! :D

If that aint throwing down the gauntlet.

'Looks around for more boxes'

Hito...looks like you got in on one of those cpu's Kyle was giving out...looks like this is going to be a long and arduous fight. Time to borg a few friends' pc's in the name of science (and competitive victory).

BTW Hito where did you get your name?

2.40 GHz P4 - Ex-Girlfriends Laptop ------- that's.....that's just a truly wonderful thing... :D

Note to self: He who has the last laugh wins

Long story. When Asheron's Call first came out I had to create a character name. I chose Batu Bahadur after a "famous" Mongol. Needless to say, my first character wasn't that great, so his successor was Hito (must of been a cousin).... anywho, I stopped playing the game because I was too addicted, but I have kept the name as a memory.

i got a 2400+ XP from Kyle...but mobo is dead, waiting for new one :(

Fedex takes too long

My good friend Brian allowed me to borg his boxen...Athlon XP 2400+ @ 2.0GHz!

235.185 - 2.000 = 233.185GHz to go...

Hopin' you can catch up JasonLee....Good Borging! :D

So what are the rules for claiming "D"? It feels wrong for me to claim some boxen which I know will only be folding for ~2 weeks.

JasonLee- The problem with EM3 is it will only show the first 13 boxen, then you have to start scrolling down. I have that sucker stacked up with two screens on 600 pointers once. Nice borgin btw, you got some fast boxen running.

You can run more than one instance of EMIII... I've not tried it, but I'm pretty sure it's in the readme file... I think you just add a -more flag to the command... and a number/letter.... not 100% sure (as I said, I've very tried it)...... the most PCs I have it monitoring is 3 (4 "CPUs"), and so I haven't had a need for more than one instance.....

Keep on Folding!!

Well it wasn't the borg I was looking for... and it hardly compares to what some of ya'll have been able to put up (props to ya'll!) but I managed a small lab here at the office.
8 P4 1.5ghz machines added to my collection today.
That's 12ghz more folding power from me!

233.185GHz - 12GHz = 221.185GHz

Not a bad borg at all Baked! Excellent work!

Getting ever closer. I hope to add a 700MHz Dell Latitude L400 to help fold. Just waitin for it to come in the mail. :)

Good job BakenOn. I wish I had an IT job. Maybe after I retire.
Don't do it... IT sucks! :p

Thanks for the kind words fellas. :)

Got another one of my brother's Athlon XP 2500+ @ 2.0GHz going...

221.185GHz - 2.0GHz = 219.185GHz to go!

my dad finally installed windows on my dual 2.6 xeon server back in NY, folding 24/7

219.185- 5.2 = 213.985 to go :)

b0rged 3 friends' laptops

2.66 ghz P4 running big wu
500 mhz P3 going timeless.
2.4 ghz P4

Total -5.56 ghz

213.985 - 5.56 = 208.425 Ghz to go

A question I've always had is: what effect does F@H have on battery life on a laptop? I figure most of it to be pretty severe, even though alot of laptops throttle the cpu speed during battery use. But then again, most people maintain that it is the display that takes the most battery power, so I wonder....

Not sure my laptop is set not to run F@H when on battery...but I am doing timeless WU's on it

Cuts my laptop's battery down by about 15 minutes.

Got my son's grandfather's rig hooked up and running finally. That's another 1 Ghz working.

201.995-1.0=200.995 to go.

I ran this for a while some months ago on my old work machine, but my grandmother just passed away due to cancer on Monday so I decided to pick it back up....

Got my newer work machine going (P4 3 GHz HT), and my home Linux server (Athlon 1.4) which sits mostly idle going today. I have some co-workers who's families have also been tragically struck by cancer, so I may talk them into letting this run as well. (I'm the IT guy.)

187.535 to go.

ok I finally got the BIOS bugs worked out on my new AMD xp-2400 ( thanks kyle)
2.0Ghz

185.535 Ghz left to go!!!
