Basically guys, the problem is this.
At the place I do volunteer work for, they want me to build the best machine I can out of old parts they have lying around. It will be used for Internet Use and basic Office stuff like Word, etc...
I have the choice of a Cyrix 333 processor for this computer, or a P2 266... which would be the best processor to go for?
This machine will be running 128MB SDRAM, a 4gb Hdd, Windows 98SE, and Office XP. I'm tempted to install Linux onto it, instead of Windows 98, and use mainly open-source software instead of going the Microsoft Route. If I did go the Linux route, this machine could then also be used to demonstrate to the students, other Operating Systems and free-ware/open-source software...
Which do you think would be the best processor to use?
