What my question is, how visible will the red color be thru the this...and if its not that visible, should i just cut it out?

Cut it, I wouldn't worry about how much light will go thru it, I will worry about the air going thru it, and the amount of air will be very litle, and will also be very noisy.

I would leave it. The hole is going to be hard clean.
