It seems like the console manufacturers could do a little to allow of cosmetic customization of controllers. If you look at what Motorola is doing with the Motomaker and the Moto X, I feel like a similar idea could work for the console manufacturers.
I feel like that could be a way for them to add a little more profitability to some of those controllers if they charged a small premium, and allowed you to pick front and back colors, and maybe buttons. Those differences would cost them very little, and could add a nice little touch.
What do you think, would you spend an extra 5 or 10 dollars to make a non knockoff controller in your favorite color combination?
