Did any software or device ever come about to allow you to make your own custom hybrid setup? I know Intel boards allowed something like 60GB (max) drives to pair with an HDD but did a less restrictive version ever come available?

I have a few 250GB 850Evos laying around and a 5TB that isn't utilized, and I'm starting to run out of space on my 500GB Evo, on stuff I semi-frequently access so I dont want to move to rotational. I know I could just hook up two of those Evos and dump some to each drive but thought I'd ask here first. A few quick Google searches didn't turn much up.

There are several ways to do this in linux however I expect you want windows.

Edit: I am trying to remember the name of a windows product that I used to use when it was free.

Indeed. The data I want to keep running quickly are games on steam, windows store, origin. This fall's games are hitting over 100gb each!

I have a decent size storage array in a dedicated system for the important data haha

I'm going to look into trialing that software, sounds like just what I was looking for, thanks Drescherjm!
