Does anyone know where the config file is for CS: Source? I can't seem to find it. I have a few commands that help my frames like turning off ragdoll etc... that I'm tired of having to type that in everytime I start the game. Any suggestions?
Steam\SteamApps\your@email.com\counter-strike source\cstrike\cfg
I want a solid frame rate of around 100
Soujiro - thanks... that's exactly what i was looking for!
Fantasysage - frames that aren't jumping around = better reg, right? or am i just porting over my old cod knowledge into a game where that doesn't matter?

CS:S (like many other games on the source engine) is horrible CPU dependent. In many cases upgrading your GPU doesn't improve your FPS, as for most people their CPU will be the bottleneck in that game.First off, how are you having issues running CSS with an 8800Is that even possible?
"fps_max 101" is a common setting for CS1.6, and a necessary setting for competitive play. The reason being in those old engines FPS variations affected gameplay negatively (unlike engines today which are modularly coded). So when other versions of CS (like CZ, CS:S, CSFantasysage said:WHY?
