CS:GO Crossfire Microstutter

CS:GO has occasional "microstutter" when I enable crossfire (2 x 290x). When crossfire is disabled, it does not seem to occur.

I have all settings maxed out, at 1440p. Vsync is disabled.

The advantage to crossfire is the fans don't get as loud :)

Any thoughts?

Umm, you're playing CS on 3 monitors?

Because dual 290x is absolute total overkill for it.
I'm 144Hz @ 1920 x 1080 and its pegged @ 300FPS constant.

I dunno how I'd be able to watch 3 monitors with the speed that the game
takes on.

No actually, just one monitor at 1440p. I just sold one of the 290x actually. I was playing BF4 but after going back to CS I realized how much more I enjoy it over BF. :D

CS:GO uses a DX9 renderer. Unfortunately, AMD still hasn't implemented DX9 frame pacing, and I can't imagine it's high on their priority list anymore :/ All you can do is disable crossfire for the game or use radeonpro's dynamic framerate control feature.

I have the same problem as you I get a frame rate of 999 the it will drop as low as 60 fps I have the alt tab out and back in to correct it but it only work for a little while but I think I have a fix for coming in the mail its call a Titan X

Yeah, this game is like single-digit usage on high-end GPUs. You wouldn't want to mess up 100% fluidity on a game this fast-paced by throwing a second GPU into the mix, and that's coming from both a CSGO player and someone who had a CFX setup until recently.
