I was always under the assumption that artifacts couldn't be caught with a screen shot, maybe I was wrong....

I was seeing artifacts like these on certain trees on Crysis Warhead. It doesn't seem to be related to Overclock.
Are these a game glitch, drivers, video card, settings or what is probable reason?

The graphics are maxed and enhanced AA selected in CCC. The Picture Quality is reduced to upload the image.
Red boxes are to show the points where it has artifacts or missing textures.

My guess would be a driver/game issue since the artifacts are limited to just the tree in you screenshot. If it was hardware, it would be randomly distributed.

Try different drivers, and if that doesn't work, see if it might be the new AA method that AMD introduced.

These types of artifacts are a long known issue for warhead. Both Nvidia and ATI/AMD get them at least with the cards I've had anyway

looks more like texture errors then actual artifact's. but like sick said, since its limited to the tree's its definitely a game issue and not a hardware problem.

Well I think you all just about answered the question then. Thanks. It sure did seem like the graphics quality had a drop from the original Crysis too, maybe it was just me. The game was shorter for sure though :).

yup it did because of all the little whining kids saying they couldn't play crysis on their 2001 athlon xp systems. so crytek dumbed it down so people could actually play the game on their pos systems.

i'm honestly not expecting crysis 2 to actually look any better than warhead either.

Can't wait for Crysis 2.
I'm tired of staring at all those damn trees. Maybe the game will run better this time. :p

I hope it doesn't run better I just want it to look great. Get out of here with that non [H] stuff
